And also, when you move away to go to school for a year and promise your girlfriend of four years that be back and all you hear is "I'll believe it when I see it" it becomes clear that you're dating the wrong girl. That has something to do with it as well.

I have a simple rule to date by.

Start dating a girl in March and break up with her around the beginning of November.
