Been in love once, and like big time, hugely, huge type love. Unfortunately, it had to end, and it ended pretty abruptly and out of the blue. Even though much time has passed, I will still be feeling the effects of that one for a long time. Hoping the next girl to come around and sweep me away back into the big time love category. Just thought I'd share.

Seriously, if you believe that there's someone out there for you, you only set yourself up for continual heartbreak time and time again. It's worthless and petty and I don't understand why people believe that there is someone out there for them. Faith? Fuck that. For all I know, the person meant for me could be in Russia, or she could be dead. It's fucking bullshit.

yes, generally more than a few times, definitively once... love is like a tumor, you don't always know when it starts, a lot of times when you realise it's there it's too late, it either ends in pain or death, and in between you feel sick and dizzy a lot...

That's my favorite post ever from Jabba. Right on the money.

Rath, there isn't such a thing as one person DESTINED to be your match. The trick to the whole relationship thing is to find THE BEST person you can find, and to be good to them through thick and thin.

Another facet of love is learning that you've got a good slew of issues to work out with yourself and together. Nothing is peachy keen everyday.

In the middle of falling in love, big-time, head over heels, incontrovertibly in love right now, and for the first time in my life, it's mutual. To my friggin' astonishment. Mutual enough that we're trying to make it work even though I'm in Tennessee and she's way up in Massachusetts.

I think it's gonna last. Longer than my bank account, anyway.
