THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 3- The latest script features Dominic (Vin Diesel) on the run in Mexico with a Japanese partner, and features no mention of the characters played by Paul Walker and Tyrese Gibson in the second film.

ALIEN V- Fox has recently registered the domain name 'ALIEN V.'

THE DEVIL'S REJECTS- Ken Foree has been cast as Captain Spaulding's 'brother' in this sequel, while Michael Berryman has also been added to the cast.

ELEKTRA/DAREDEVIL 2- It's on again: rumors are that Ben Affleck may cameo as DD in ELEKTRA after all. Also, Terence Stamp has just been cast in the spinoff movie. Meanwhile, there are some reports that Kevin Smith has submitted a story outline for a DAREDEVIL 2.

THE EXORCIST: BEGINNING- WB may be considering releasing both the upcoming theatrical version of this film as well as the aborted Paul Schrader project on DVD alternately.

007- While MGM has hinted that they are not interested in Quentin Tarantino's proposed CASINO ROYALE remake, two names are vying for the Bond role: Heath Ledger and Eric Bana. In related news, Hugh Jackman confesses to starting the rumors that he had been hired as Bond himself.

THE PUNISHER 2- If the film does well, the sequel will feature the comic book villain 'Jigsaw.'

THE SANDLOT 2- Has a greenlight and will start shooting later this year.

GOOD BOY 2- Jim Henson productions is developing a sequel to this hit kid film.

THE RING 2- Emily Van Camp, Sissy Spacek and Simon Baker have been added to the cast of the horror sequel.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3- Carrie Anne-Moss has signed a deal to appear in the sequel.

POLICE ACADEMY 8- Plans are supposedly underway at Universal Pictures to turn this into a big budget STARSKY AND HUTCH type picture.

HELLBOY 2- Guillermo Del Toro is interested in adapting either the storylines ALMOST COLOSSUS and/or CONQUEROR WORM for the sequel, both of which he claims would be inexpensive.

DAY OF THE DEAD- Plans may be moving ahead for a remake of this film to serve as a sequel to DAWN OF THE DEAD.

HERBIE: FULLY LOADED- A title has been decided upon for the next installment of the car series, starring Lindsay Lohan.

THE DEVIL'S REJECTS- Kane Hodder has just been hired as a stunt coordinator for this film, but it seems certain that he will also play a role.

TERMINATOR 3- The producers of the third installment of the apocalyptic robot series have spoke about their desire to re-film a solid portion of the film and re-release it in theaters. Also, rumors of T4 are legit- Arnold Schwarzenegger will return for a cameo in a film that will focus specifically on the characters played by Nick Stahl and Clare Danes.

VEGA BROTHERS- The project is alive again, with Quentin Tarantino's desire to can the prequel concept in favor of a straight sequel.

STAR TREK- According to Rick Berman, he is in line to produce a new STAR TREK movie, which he describes as a prequel. Paramount pictures has a film called STARFLEET COMMAND in development, and that may be the project's title.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3- Kenneth branagh has joined the cast, possibly filling the role vacated by departing Philip Seymour Hoffman.

AMERICAN PSYCHO: THE PATRICK BATEMAN TAPES- Lions Gate is planning the third film in this series, likely to go straight to video.

ROCKY VI- MGM has reportedly turned down the script for the sixth film in the series, although star Sylvester Stallone isn't expected to stop shopping the script to others.

ELEKTRA- Goran Visjnic has been added to the cast of this DAREDEVIL spinoff.

MR. PINK- On the heels of VEGA BROTHERS talk, Ben Trebilcook, writer of DAISY SCARLETT: SEMPER OCCULTUS, has spoken about his supposed agreement to flesh out a spinoff story for Mr. Pink (Steve Buscemi) of Tarantino's RESERVOIR DOGS.

BOND 21- Producers have confirmed there will be a new Bond, news that conencides with Bond fave Heath Ledger dropping out of a movie he was due to begin filming, CANDY. Could Ledger be the new Bond?

VAN HELSING 2- If HELSING is a success, Sommers is expected to head right into development with the sequel. If not, expect Sommers to attach himself to the director's chair for FLASH GORDON.

THE MASK OF THE PINK PANTHER- Kristen Chenowith has just joined the cast, while David Beckham has dropped out.

THE DEVIL'S REJECTS- PJ Soles, the adorable blonde that gets murdered in the original HALLOWEEN, will be featured in this horror sequel.

Actually, I think the second "Van Helsing" is going to be made regardless of how it does...they're supposedly a trilogy.

And Sommers has also said he wants to make a smaller film as his next directing project.

That is some seriously flawed logic. Do you honestly believe that if Van Helsing bombs, the studio will put up the money for a sequel, let alone two?

Battlefield Earth was also supposed to be a trilogy at one time.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 2- Johnny Depp has gone on record as saying he wants Keith Richards to play the father of his character, Captain Jack Sparrow.

DAY OF THE DEAD: CONTAGIUM- A sequel to the zombie series has apparently wrapped filming, under the direction of Jim Dudelson.

VEGA BROTHERS- Apparently the idea Quentin Tarantino has involves the brothers of the characters played by John Travolta and Michael Madsen in PULP FICTION and RESERVOIR DOGS, respectively.

FREDDY VS. JASON 2- Kane Hodder, Jason from previous movies, recently indicated that he might be reappearing in this horror sequel and that Ash, of EVIL DEAD fame, won't be.

HULK 2- Apparently Eric Bana has not been approached for the sequel, despite being contractually obligated to star.

THE THING 2- A "scooper" at Aint It Cool News recently posted an indepth conversation possibly had by two insiders involved in a possible THE THING 2. Scoff here

VAN HELSING 2- Rumor has it that if the first weekend take of VAN HELSING is a smash Stephen Sommers, Hugh Jackman and co. are ready to begin immediately on a sequel, which would accompany the VAN HELSING television show, animated prequel, lunchbox, hentai DVD and enema playset.

X-MEN 3- Characters looking to be featured in the next film include Beast and Gambit, while Ray Park has indeed let it slip that he will be reprising his role as Toad from the first film.

ELEKTRA- Will Yun Lee has been cast as the main villain.

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN- Wolfgang Petersen reported that this film was placed on the backburner for the future, but that he is still attached and would like to direct it.

FREDDY VS. JASON 2- While the Kane Hodder rumor has been squashed, Ronny Yu looks to be returning for this sequel.

ZATHURA- Sony is pursuing both original star Robin Williams as well as Will Ferrell for this sequel to JUMANJI, to be directed by Jon Farveau.

RAMBO IV- Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna spoke of their desire to make the fourth film in this series pending approval from Sylvester Stallone.

DEUCE BIGELOW: EUROPEAN GIGOLO- Mike Bigelow has been hired to direct this sequel.

BATMAN BEGINS- Guy Pearce has trounced the rumors that he was ever approached for a role in the film.

THE DEVIL'S REJECTS- Tyler Mane has just been cast in the horror sequel playing Rufus Firefly.

THE LECTER VARIATION- Apparently Dino De Laurentiis is still interested in making this film, a prequel of Hannibal Lecter's screen adventures.

INDEPENDENCE DAY 2- Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin recently spoke about their failure to come up with an idea for this sci-fi sequel and have therefore abandoned it.

xXx2: STATE OF THE UNION- Scott Speedman has been added to the cast as a character described as an "adreneline junkie."

TRANSPORTER 2- Filming on this action sequel, to be directed by Corey Yuen and Louis Leterrier, commences in July.

GLADIATOR 2- Sets are reportedly being built in Malta for this epic sequel.

RAMBO IV- Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna are seeking John Woo to direct the fourth installment of the series, which would invove John Rambo seeking out stolen nuclear weapons.

JURASSIC PARK IV- Rumors are pointing to John Sayles being hired to write the fourth installment in the dino series.

THE DEVIL'S REJECTS- Danny Trejo has signed on for the horror sequel, playing one of the Unholy Two.

BUBBA HO-TEP 2- Don Coscarelli has announced he'd like to do a sequel to the cult hit, leaning towards BUBBA SASQUATCH while star Bruce Campbell likes BUBBA NOSFERATU.

SPIDER-MAN 3- A rumor up at AICN notes that Sam Raimi and company are interested in featuring villains the Chameleon and Kraven in the third film.

MORTAL KOMBAT 3- Threshold Entertainment is trying to get investors interested in a third film with a $20-30 mil. budget. Christopher Lambert, Linden Ashby, Stacey Dash and Chris Cassammassa will star.

BEVERLY HILLS COP IV- First Jerry Bruckheimer and now Eddie Murphy have turned down this sequel.

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: DEAD RECKONING- Rumor has it that Fox Searchlight has greenlit the fourth film in the zombie trilogy to be directed by George Romero.

GODZILLA: FINAL WARS- Filmmakers have commented that the film will feature anywhere from 10 to 16 monsters.

BRUCE ALMIGHTY 2- The script THE PASSION OF THE ARK may be altered to be a sequel to the box office hit. Jim Carrey and director Tom Shadyac would return.

HELLBOY 2- Revolution Studios has okayed a second film to be directed by Guillermo Del Toro.

SHREK 3/4- Jeffery Katzenberg announced that there are plans for two more sequels, a fourth one taking time to explore the origins of Shrek.

PIRATES OF THE CARRIBBEAN 2- Keith Richards has been signed on to play the father of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).

BOND 21- Apparently Pierce Brosnan has resolved his arguements with Bond producers and will suit up for the 21st installment in the series. Also, it's possible producers are entertaining thoughts of Quentin Tarantino's CASINO ROYALE.

MUMMY 3- Stephen Sommers recently spoke about the franchise, claiming he was done with it. Interest persists at Universal, however, about doing a third film without Sommers. Sommers also spoke pessimistically of...

VAN HELSING 2- Which is not likely to happen due to poor box office receipts of the first film.

SCARY MOVIE 4- David Zucker will return to helm the fourth film in the series, to begin fimling in wintertime. Anna Faris will most likely step aside as the female lead.

GOONIES 2- Richard Donner recently revealed that a dearth of ideas have kept this project from actually happening.

RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 4: NECROPOLIS- Filming is set to be underway on this horror sequel, directed by Ellroy Elkayem (EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS). It will be followed by...

RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 5: RAVE FROM THE GRAVE- Which, like the fourth film, will be filmed in Romania. Peter Coyote will star.

FACE/OFF 2- John Woo has been inspired and has spoke about his desire to do a sequel to the action hit, particularly because of real life face transplants.

RAINBOW SIX- Woo has also been mentioned as a candidate to direct this spy thriller based around the exploits of Tom Clancyverse creation John Clark.

CADDYSHACK 3/FLETCH WON- IJN an interview recently, Chevy Chase distanced himself from any involvement in a new FLETCH movie and also shot down CADDYSHACK 3 rumors.

RAMBO 4- C2 is preparing to offer Sylvester Stallone $30 million to star in this war epic which will involve the hunt for stolen nuclear weapons. Directorial candidates include JOhn McTiernan, F. Gary Gray and Martin Campbell.

TERMINATOR 4/5- C2 is also moving ahead with the newx installments in the Terminator series. Nick Stahl, Clare Danes anddirector Johnathan Mostow are all signed for the next film, and C2 will woo old Carlco stud James Cameron for the fifth film.

10 AGAIN- Blake Edwards is circling this remake/sequel to the original "10" film. Jennifer Hawkins, a recent Miss Universe, will star, with possible additions to the cast being Robert Downey Jr., Bo Derek and Julie Andrews.

X-FILES 2- David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are rumored to be onboard for the sequel, set to shoot in the the fall from a Chris Carter script.

HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE- Robert Pattinson has been cast for the part of Cedric Diggory in this sequel.

I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER 3- Jennifer Love Hewitt recent put a stake into this franchise's heart, saying that the studio jettisoned the two ideas they had brewing for the sequel and that she would never be involved in another one.

RUSH HOUR 3- In a recent interview Jackie Chan acknowledged that he didn't want to but will probably do RUSH HOUR 3 anyway.

ROCKY VI- With his suit against MGM looking ugly, it looks like Stallone will get his wish and there will be a new ROCKY movie in 2006, complete with a new score from raring-to-go Bill Conti.

RAMBO IV- John McTiernan and F. Gary Gray are the remaining two candidates for the directorial chair after Martin Campbell dropped out. C2 is also planning a new RAMBO toyline to coincide with the film's tenuous 2006 release.

FINAL DESTINATION 3D- Glen Morgan and James Wong, creators of FINAL DESTINATION, will return for the third film, rumored to be in 3D.

SHREK 3/4- Apparently Dreamworks has been secretly working on SHREK 3 for nine months before SHREK 2's premiere, and had also completed three months of preproduction on SHREK 4.

YOU GOT SERVED 2- Omarion and the rest of B2K, as well as director Chris Stokes, will return for the dance sequel.

X3- Director Bryan Singer announced he'll be filming the remake of LOGAN'S RUN up until spring next year, casting doubt as to whether he'll be helming the third film in the mutant series.

THE TOOLBOX MURDERS 2- There may be a sequel brewing to this as-yet-unreleased horror remake from genre fave Tobe Hooper.

INDIANA JONES IV- It looks like Steven Spielberg's next project will be the untitled 1972 Olympics drama. He'll then segueway into THE RIVALS and finally the Tom Cruise-produced THE WAR OF THE WORLD. No signs of any potential startdates for this slowly fading project.

SPIDER-MAN 3- Sam Raimi spoils the damn movie here .

TERMINATOR 4/5- C2 is seeking James Cameron for the fifth film, which would feature Schwarzenegger returning as the evil Terminator. Cameron would get a $20 million payday and complete creative control.

FAST AND THE FURIOUS 3- Hot on the heels of the poor opening for RIDDICK, Vin Diesel has announced he'd be interested in a FAST AND THE FURIOUS spinoff starring his Dominic Torretto character. He hoped the script was good, unlike the script for xXx2, which he described as "slave poor."

DEAD RECKONING- George Romero stars filming on this in the spring, after completion of DIAMOND DEAD.

TERMINATOR 4/5- After the whirlwind of news on these projects recently, it sounds like those involved are returning to Earth. Spies say a Cameron-directed T5 will never happen, and that Johnathan Mostow isn't even interested in directing TERMINATOR 4. Other rumors state that TERMINATOR 4 isn't likely because Sharon Stone is suing producers Vajna and Kassar for upwards of $100 million after a deal on a potential Cronenberg-directed BASIC INSTINCT 2 fell through and the two renegaged from a pay-or-play deal.

RED RABBIT- After rumors that he was being replaced by Hayden Christiansen, Ben Affleck announced that he is indeed signed on for two more Jack Ryan adventures after THE SUM OF ALL FEARS.

MORTAL KOMBAT 3- In seperate interviews, Linden Ashby and Christopher Lambert have confirmed a summer start date for this fight sequel.

OCEAN'S TWELVE- Bruce Willis will have a cameo in this comedy sequel.

BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE 2- Actress Kimberly Brown recently confirmed that there have been meetings regarding a sequel to the comedy hit.

SANDLOT 2: SON OF THE BEAST- David Mickey Evans, director of the first film, begins shooting this sequel, set in 1972 and dealing with a new set of characters, in Vancouver this week. He has also gone on record speaking of his desire to work on FOUR more SANDLOT installments.

HELLBOY 2- Pre-production stars in January, with an eye towards an August 2005 start date.

SPIDER-MAN 3- Both Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst re-voiced their desire to avoid a fourth SPIDER-MAN film.

BATMAN BEGINS- Linus Roache and Sara Stewart will play Thomas and Martha Wayne, and their assassin, Joe Chill, will be played by Richard Brake.

28 WEEKS LATER- Rowan Joffe, son of Roland, is set to pen this sequel to the 2003 horror hit. Danny Boyle and Alex Garland, the director and writer of the original, respectively, will return as producers. No word on whether any of the original cast will return.

DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS 2- Justin Whalin, star of the first film, may be returning to this franchise to star alongside Paris Hilton.

ZATHURA- Tim Robbins will star in this sequel to JUMANJI, to be directed by Jon Favreau.

For the record, I checked out the IMDB page for the guy playing Thomas Wayne, and it's kinda neat- he definitely looks like he could be a relative to Christian Bale. I imagine that the casting director went through pages and pages of SAG books just to find someone with that same weird nose.

THE RETURN OF ZORRO- Catherine Zeta-Jones is back onboard this sequel, rejoining Antonio Banderas.

SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT 4- Apparently prospective producers have been hounding Burt Reynolds on the set of his new movie THE LONGEST YARD attempting to convinvce him to do this sequel.

STAR WARS EPISODE III- Gary Oldman may be voicing the role of General Greivous.

THE PUNISHER 2- Reports are that this prospective sequel is dead. If there is a PUNISHER 2, Lions Gate expects it to be straight to video.

RUSH HOUR 3- Reports indicate that Chris Tucker wants to set the sequel in Bangkok, while Jackie Chan prefers Hawaii. Other rumors indicate that an injury to Chris Tucker has pushed filming of this project back indefinetly.

EVIL DEAD 4- Sam Raimi recently spoke of his desire to do another in this horror series.

STARSKY AND HUTCH 2- Cameron Diaz will be joining Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller in the sequel.

TREMORS 5- A script has been completed, but the search for funding continues.

BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD 2- Mike Judge recently spoke in an interview about his desire to do another BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD movie now that he has repaired his frayed relationship with MTV.

CONAN THE KING- Conflicting reports discuss Arnold Schwarzenegger's availability for this sequel. While Schwarzenegger has gone on record pleading John Milus to wait for him to finish his term before filming this film, others suggest that he will run for another term. With the rights to CONAN possibly ending up in someone else's hands by them, there could be trouble. Also, Warner Bros. has torpedoed Triple H as the potential lead for this movie, citing his lack of box office appeal.

xXx2: STATE OF THE UNION- This DC set sequel now sports a cast that includes Ice Cube, Samuel L. Jackson, Willem Dafoe, Scott Speedman and Nona Gaye.

SCOOBY DOO 3- Director Raja Gosnell and writer James Gunn are rumored to not be returning for the sequel, should it happen. The second film's returns were not up to par with the first, and much of the cast (including, recently, Matthew Lillard) have not signed on for another go-round.

UNTOUCHABLES prequel- Antoine Fuqua has announced that he is interested in a prequel to the popular Brian De Palma film with Sean Penn as Al Capone.

KING ARTHUR 2- If KING ARTHUR is a success, plans will be underway for both a sequel and a prequel.

PIRATES OF THE CARRIBBEAN 2/3- Jerry Bruckheimer recently made it official: the two films will be made back to back. Johnny Depp is signed for only one film, whereas rumors are that Geoffrey Rush may return as well. Gore Verbinski will again direct from a script by Terry Rossio and Ted Elliot.

BOND 21- Because Bond rumors never die: a rumored candidate to take over the mantle of James Bond (despite Pierce Brosnan returning for the next film) is Adrian Paul, best known as the star of the HIGHLANDER television series. Also, Dame Judi Dench, who plays M, suggested to former Bond Sean Connery that he should take up the mantle of playing M, which would be the second time Connery was linked with the Brosnan Bond movies in a different role: a scene for DIE ANOTHER DAY featuring Sean Connery as Bond's father was jettisoned when producers found out that in the original Ian Fleming novels, Bond was an orphan.

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: DEAD RECKONING- Apparently, according to the financing deal struck for George Romero's DIAMOND DEAD, he would have to start filming DEAD RECKONING first, as early as October.

RUSH HOUR 3- Jackie Chan confirmed this movie on LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY last week.

BATMAN BEGINS- Emma Lockhart and Gerard Murphy have joined the cast.

STAR WARS EPISODE III- George Lucas has began reshoots for the sixth film in the series, which will feature an all new scene between Yoda and Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christiansen).

WAKE UP, RON BURGUNDY- Apparently the cast and crew of the upcoming ANCHORMAN have shot an entirely seperate film called WAKE UP, RON BURGUNDY, that they intend to release on DVD simultaneously with ANCHORMAN.

HULK 2- Avi Arad confirmed that in the sequel the Hulk will come to terms with his rage and use it to help people. Essentially, less fodder for stoners, I'm afraid.

JURASSIC PARK IV- What we've learned of this project: Jeff Goldblum and Richard Attenborough would return, but Sam Neill will not. The majority of the dinosaurs featured will be aquatic, although the raptors and spinosaurus would return. Also, Alex Proyas is mentioned as a possible candidate to direct, from a script by John Sayles.

DAREDEVIL 2- Apparently, plans are underway to salvage the sets of ELEKTRA for a second installment of the DAREDEVIL franchise to shoot next year. Ben Affleck, who asked out of a cameo in ELEKTRA, will not participate, nor will Jennifer Garner. Rumors point to Hayden Christiansen being one of the candidates to don the red horns. The project is currently out to writers.

PUNISHER 2- According to well-placed moles, reports of this franchise's death were greatly exaggerated. The guess here is that DVD sales will determine the viability of a second installment.

HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE- The title has been selected for the sixth book in the series; the film is expected to follow suit in a number of years.

SCHOOL OF ROCK 2- Richard Linklater wouldn't rule out a sequel to the hit comedy. Stating that it would be difficult because all the cast members were busy with other committments, he noted that the studio wanted another one and that writer Mike White and star Jack Black had some good ideas for a sequel. Linklater eventually said he would not do another unless all the kids asked his nicely.

ELEKTRA- Colin Farrell may reprise his role as Bullseye from DAREDEVIL in this spinoff.

THE UNTOUCHABLES: MOTHERS' DAY- The title has been confirmed for this spinoff.

DIE HARD IV- John McTiernan has signed on for this sequel, as opposed to...

RAMBO IV- Which F. Gary Gray has also turned down.

LAND OF THE DEAD- Rumors are that this horror sequel from George Romero will have a wide distribution thanks to a powerful producer (Ridley Scott?).

BASIC INSTINCT 2- Sharon Stone has reached a stellement with Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna, and this film will go forward.

2 BATMAN 2 BEGINS- A number of rumors have cropped up recently regarding the sequel to the upcoming BATMAN BEGINS. Two contenders, Steve Buchemi and Lachy Hulme, have emerged for the role of the Joker, while Guy Pearce has been mentioned for Harvey Dent/Two Face and Robin Williams for the Riddler. Jude Law was also mentioned for a potential role.

X3- Rumors are that the X-MEN producers are interested in a club scene in the upcoming movie that would introduce the character of Dazzler in order to familiarize audiences with the character for a future spinoff movie, despite joking promises made long ago by AVi Arad that Dazzler would never be licensed. Jessica Simpson is being mentioned for the role. Also, Ian McKellan says shooting will begin next September with him returning, although Alan Cumming stated he's set to start shooting his material in the spring.

FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH- Sam Raimi announced he would love to see a script of this. However, a day after that announcement, a rumor emerged that Raimi would not let them use Ash and that the project wouldn't happen. However, current word shows that the project is still on with Ash.

MISS CONGENIALITY 2- Regis Philbin will have a cameo.

POLICE ACADEMY 8- Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow are teaming to make this sequel a reality.

ZATHURA- Pre-production sketches can be seen here .

SPIDER-MAN 3- Among the rumors leaking about the next installment is that Tobey Maguire, James Franco, Kirsten DUnst and Sam Raimi will return, as well as writers Michael Chabon, Alfred Gough, Alvin Sargent and David Koepp. Also, Eliza Dushku is being sought after for the role of the Black Cat, and that the character of John Jameson might be headed into space... The release date is May 4th, 2006.

STAR TREK XI- It's official: producer Rick Berman is planning a prequel film.

THE PROFESSIONAL 2- Natalie Portman answered rumors by saying she'd do a sequel, but that she hasn't been approached for one.

CABIN FEVER 2- Adam Green has been hired to write the sequel.

ROCKY VI- Dreamworks, currently producing Sylvester Stallone's new boxing reality show, might be producing this movie.

BOND 21- Apparently Pierce Brosnan won't be back as Bond. A report recently cites Brosnan's demand for a "Tom Cruise" type paycheck for the next film causing Robert Wade and Neal Purvis to write an "old school" script featuring a new Bond. Candidates include Clive Owen, Hugh Jackman, Jude Law and Roger Moore's son, Geoffrey Moore. Also, Roger Moore may be in talks to play M.

THE GOONIES 2- Warner Bros. has killed this sequel, citing a lack of interest.

THE BOURNE SUPREMACY 2(?)- Producer Frank Marshall has said that if BOURNE SUPREMACY is a hit, a third film in the Bourne series will be made with Matt Damon returning.

TERMINATOR 4- A new lead character has been created for the fourth installment of this series, written by John Brancato.

THE SANDLOT 2: SON OF THE BEAST- James Earl Jones will be reprising his role as Mr. Myrtle in this sequel.

FREDDY VS. JASON 2- Steven Norrington has been hired to direct, from a script by Adam MacQueen, for a summer 2005 release date.

THE MIGHTY DUCKS 4- Joshua Jackson and Emilio Estevez will return for this likely straight-to-video sequel.

X-FILES 2- Gillian Anderson recently confirmed her involvement.

LAND OF THE DEAD- This film is going forward with a $20 million budget, focusing on the struggle between land-dwelling zombies and the survivors of the apocalypse, held up in skyscrapers.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3- Joe Carnahan has departed the director's chair of this film. Shooting starts next month.

HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE- John Williams won't be scoring this sequel.

SERENITY 2- Alan Tudyk anbnounced that most of the cast to the upcoming SERENITY is signed for three movies.

TRUE LIES 2- Apparently, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been telling people this will be his first movie out of office, to be produced (not directed) by James Cameron's LIGHTSTORM ENTERTAINMENT. The plot will be less "terrorism oriented."

DODGEBALL 2- Tudyk also said this was likely to happen...

A KNIGHT'S TALE 2- ...and this wasn't.

JURASSIC PARK IV- Both director Alex Proyas and actor Sam Neill have turned this down.

THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM- Apparently, Matt Damon isn't as enthusiastic as producers about doing another BOURNE movie.

DH 4.0- Doug Richardson is currently penning this idiotically titled fourth film in the DIE HARD series. Bruce Willis and Reginald Vel Johnson will return for a summer 2005 shoot.

THE HOBBIT- Time Warner may purchase MGM, giving New Line Cinema, makers of the LORD OF THE RINGS, sole possession of the rights to THE HOBBIT.

SUPERMAN RETURNS- Bryan Singer has signed on to direct this film, which will not be an origin story and MAY deal with the continuity of the original SUPERMAN movies.

VAMPIRES III: TEMPLE OF BLOOD- Meredith Munroe has just wrapped a starring role in this straight to video sequel. JS Cordone directed, and the film may carry the JOHN CARPENTER PRESENTS title.

THE ITALIAN JOB 2- John Goldwyn will be producing this sequel. The film would supposedly take place in St. Tropez, Paris, and the Swiss Alps.

X3/4- Bryan Singer will not be directing these films, which will shoot back to back.

FREDDY VS. JASON 2- The Stephen Norrington rumors are untrue.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3- Brett Ratner will direct.

I ROBOT 2- Will Smith and Alex Proyas are keen on re-teaming for a 2005-shot sequel if the film does well.
