Thread Starter
Paul Winfield - Lt. Trasker in The Terminator - died of a heart attack Sunday at the age of 62.

I really liked him from his TV work-
The Magic Mirror in the short-lived Fairy Tale sitcom "The Charmings" and Lucious Sweet on "The Simpsons".

RIP, man.

Damn!

It had a been a while since I'd seen him in anything (I think it was Mars Attacks), but he was certainly a fantastic character actor.

Here's the CNN obit:

Aw crap!

The prototype sci-fi whipping boy is no more. Has an actor ever met with a more consistant run on onscreen deaths?

DAMNATION ALLEY - Eaten by cockroaches.

STAR TREK 2 - Has a bug put in his ear, goes nuts, and puts a phaser to his face.

TERMINATOR - Machine gun gut shot by a cyborg killing machine.

Paul, in death, you will always be remembered... for getting killed really REALLY well.

Adios!

Thsi truly stinks. I was just watching him in Huck Finn the other day and wondering why his career never took off the way it should have. At least in my opinion.

Great memorable actor.

So who the hell is going to do the narration for City Confidential now damnit!?

I was thinking the same thing. His voiceover work on that series was one of the best things about it.
Damn shame.
Must have been that day old coffee with the cigarette butt in it that did him in.

This sucks. Guy was a solid actor RIP Paul.
This is quite sad. I liked him in a lot of stuff. His best was White Dog (WHICH NEEDS A DAMN DVD)

Also he was in the Simpsons.
I guess I'm done now with City Confidential. It was great on the neo-nazi episode how he kept on subtly insulting the nazis in his narration. You could tell it wasn't part of the script.

The best of the Next Generation, perhaps of all Trek. R.I.P.

Damn. R.I.P to a fine actor.

He was in Wrath of Kahn as well, no? The captain who commits suicide?
Yes, he was Captain Terrell of the Reliant that gets the eels put in his ears by Khan.

Great peformance.

He also had a great voice. He did some narration on several A& E programs. One that comes to mind was about the history of the Amityville Horror house. Creeeep-eeeeee.

He rocked City Confidential, as well as all those other things. He will be missed!!

didn't he also play the inviter of the crazy computer that kills four ships in Star track? No one has done a better mad scientist, ever. It is one of the top 5 star track episode, maybe the best, and all because of him.

He also had this great run on Picket Fences as this judge pushing for busing in the town the show was set. He did a wonderful job making the character 3 dimensional. A fine actor.

That was from the original series. That actor played Blackula in the movie of the same name.
