What show was this anyone?????driving me INSANE.

I was watching some 1980's twilight zone the other day and had a memory hit me of an episode of a tv show.I can't remember what the show was though.I first thought it was an episode of the 80's Twilight zone but after reading a episode guide it wasn't on there.It was around the same time though.All I can remember was a girl and a guy and there was this huge hole in their yard.They lived in the desert I believe.They would send down food on a plate attached to a rope if memory serves well.And when they pulled it back up there would be coins etc on the plate.Then the guy decided to go down in a divers suit or something similiar.When the girl pulled him back up the suit was full of coins etc, but not the guy.So basically there was creatures/people living down there.That's the most I can remember about the episode.If anyone knows what the hell I'm babbling about I'd appreciate it as I'm drawing nothing but blanks.I could swear it was TZ 80's, damn.Thanks...

Don't know what show specifically, but there was:

Monsters
Freddy's Nightmares
Tales from the Dark Side
The Hitchhiker (I doubt it, not that kinda show)
Tales from the Crypt (ditto)
Ray Bradbury Theater

My dad loved the shit out of these shows and recorded a whole bunch of em. Some of these sound like they'd have a plot like that...

I don't recall ever seeing this, but the anthology series from around that time included CIRCLE OF FEAR, TOUCH OF EVIL and NIGHT GALLERY. Actually these are from the period of 70-80, but maybe it'll shake loose a memory.
