Nope, not married but has two kids with her boyfriend and they just got engaged. The one on the right is up for grabs though.

Not until after the fact. I even turned all the Berens and Luthiens into "he" and "she" to take just enough of the geek sheen off of it. The sentiment still came through.

Congrats again sucke--um, I mean newlywed!

Seriously though, congratulations.

Congratulations, Richard!

And yes... the latter.

That is a great pic of you both at the winery. Congratulations.

Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Dickson!

And yes, congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Dickson. Sorry for not saying that the first time 'round. The cute brunette distracted me.

Okay, fine. Just ship her on out to Encino. Thanks, Rich!

My wife and I went to Williamsburg last December for the first time and really enjoyed it. Hope you guys had a good time there.

It had to be the least "touristy" tourist area I've ever seen. Coming from the midst of Theme Park Hell (aka Orlando), it was refreshing not to see every surface road cluttered with t-shirt shops, budget motels and ticket re-sellers. We were both amazed by the long stretches of forest on the road to Busch Gardens -- you don't see that in Orlando or Tampa. And even the Merchant Square next to Colonial Williamsburg had a sort of restraint and class to it. It wasn't simply a bunch of shops thrown up to capitalize on a somewhat captive audience.

Congrats Richard!

This is from last week during my lunchbreak. Wearing the tie that gets me the most compliments.

Dude. I loved you in The Thing. Boogedy Man was a staple of my childhood. And you were the best thing about License To Drive. Could you send me your autograph? Congratulations on your nuptials, by the way.

Be sure and let her know that a fun vacation can be had in Bolivia. I'll be happy to show her around. I'll pick her up from the airport and she doesn't even need to spend money on a hotel.

I might have mentioned going to London oh, about 500 times in the last 18 months. But now I have photographic proof!

The first Saturday I was here, I went to see Charlton vs. Exeter. Couldn't resist buying a shirt.

The thing about a sightseeing trip is that it's an excuse to take great photos of yourself.

Thursday nights after putting together our newspaper/website for the week, we inevitably end up at the pub. I swear I'm the sober one in this picture.

The men of Goldsmiths MA Journalism pose for a photo.

How much are hotels there? I should be going in a year or so. My father said it was about 400 bucks a night but I don't believe that old bastard.
All depends on when and where you're going, really. But 400 bucks does sound over the top.

Went to the Ice exhibit at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee. It's a collection of ice sculptures in an environment kept at 9 degrees, so for Florida people, it's as close to winter as we'll get. Here's my feelings on the matter after about 20 minutes inside:

"Gaylord Palms?" That's almost too easy.

That is 100% awesome. Two things:
1. You DO look like a scotch drinker.
2. Your wife is beautiful.

I have a picture SOMEWHERE of my wife and I renewing our vows at our local renaissance festival. We're not in costume, but we're surrounded by a ton of festies who more than make up for our lack of proper garb.

And I'd hardly had any at that point.

The long hair is gone but the goofy ass smile remains.

I think so. She's also funny, has a great job and comes from money. I'm still not sure how I got that lucky.

That's like a reverse Russian Mail Order Bride.

Nice pic! And that's coming from someone who thinks most medieval weddings are craptacular.

Seeing Jim Barg's photos of London made me realize I should have posted some of mine from my visit there back in September.

Here's me on the same bridge as Jim, except looking at the opposite shore (figure you've already seen it from the other side):

Here's me getting reasonably excited about seeing Shakespeare's "As You Like It" at the Globe Theatre:

Here's me getting unreasonably excited about eating a Cornetto:

And here's me shutting down a Dalek with a Sonic Screwdriver:

If anyone wants to check out the rest of the photos, they can be found here and here.

(Seriously, nice pictures.)

Although, mine wasn't taken in London. And I forgot my sonic screwdriver; hence my awkward attempt to make a scared face.

Thanks! It was at the British Movieum, which was right down by the London Eye. So pretty much across the river from where you were standing.

Also, Grace...love it.

I was in Barbados this past weekend for the Arthritis Society as part of their Joints in Motion team. It was the hardest marathon I've done (though I've only done two before this one) but I made it through....

Are you holding a condom?

Heh, no, that'd be the finishers medal.

As if I needed another reason to go visit that place...

Protip: Don't go out to eat for your birthday on the night the balloon guy is working at the Ale House.

Or maybe celebrate your birthday in a nice grown up's restaurant?
Do they serve ale to the childrens down in Brazil or Chile or wherever you are, Tati?

It's a sports bar that for some reason had a balloon guy wandering around that night.

Thanks Phil!

Thought I would throw a couple of pics up on here, despite not really being well known here... they're of a Chrimbley nature due to the time of year!

That was me last Christmas... was a strange old time; the first without my mum

This was Christmas 2006/2007; possibly the best Christmas I have ever had in my adult life... this was after starting on the fizzy too early. My Grandma looks rightfully bemused.

This pic speaks for itself...

Indeed, sir. Nothing says Christmas to me like Die Hard. Well done.

And despite the balloons, Richard, you and your wife look like a happy couple. Belated congrats!
