America's Next Top Model

I want to slap the shit out of each and everyone of these women. They are all horribly out of touch with reality and deserve my size 12 boot up their petite little heinies.

Anybody else have to watch this with their wives?

I watched it last night, and stayed for both episodes. I liked it. I agree, I have never seen so much crying on TV. Those girls are mostly from small towns all over the country, and are unprepared for the criticism and demands of this project. The judges have snakes coming out of their heads.

One thing I find interesting about this show is that through the comments of the people running the business, I see that modeling seems to be more about attitude and knowing one's personal style than about beauty. Those are the model's contributions to the business. What they are being brow-beaten about the most is their difficulty in finding a believeable style of their own and their awkwardness on the runway.

Tyra is a seasoned veteran, and her politeness balances nicely with those snarly judges. She had to go through rejections and criticism too ("no model is perfect, NO model").

Shandi could win, I think. She has an idiosyncrasy in her face, her eyes are a little too close together, and she's borderline nerdy, on the surface, with something else inside. I'm inclined to agree, her boyfriend is soon to be history.

Hmm, good point.
As for the Villa on Lake Cumo, it was lovely, and think of the styish creative people you could have lunch with! Not to mention swimming and beautiful women. You've got to have dreams in life, huh, Bunny.

You'll just have to try different stalking techniques. Maybe you could be a polite stalker and offer to carry her bags, then excuse yourself back to the bushes. She may feel sorry for you after a while, and that sometimes works.

Yoanna won! I felt happy for her. It seems that her classic beauty and knowledge of haute couture won out in the end. I thought for a while that Mercedes would win. She impressed the judges by nailing the walking test in front of them in the room, and seemed to have a handle on her confidence. She did seem a bit girlish and commercial at times. I think the judges believed that Yoanna could improve her walk with training. Mercedes unfortunately, could not aquire a face like Yoanna's.

Mercedes was bloody HOT though. She looked so good in that fashion show. I hated Yoanna from day one; She had the snarkiest personality, and her utter desperation to win was repellent. She also had a disgusting body and no sex appeal. But her face, in photographs was pretty much flawless...but only if you try to overlook the fact that she looks like Chris Kattan. And Michael Jackson's mug shot.

Bumping a very old thread.  This is an extremely dumb show but my daughter forces me to watch it.  Does anyone else watch this campy, deranged, useless cr*pfest?  Its one saving grace is Creepy Chan.
