Tons of new people...

Just hammering away at building a big post count. How many are real people and how many are duplicate ID's for the banned or the shafty?

A lot, I'd guess. A lot of hotmail and yahoo and aol logins.

For fun, let's see if we can figure them out.

well, around Feb. 12 my password stopped working.

Tried the 'forgot your password?' thing a couple of times, never got the email where my reset password would be sent to me. Lycos Email account.

Then when registration was allowed again, i tried to re-register with my yahoo account and never got an activation email.

Then in a last ditch effort, i tried registering with my old AOL name(haven't used it in about a year). Account activated immediately.

Strange....

You cant blame people for past actions only what they do now.
Otherwise i would still hate Bill Murray for doing Kingpin

"creepythinman" has admitted he is the troll formerly known as "phantasm" and "killedbydeath". apparently he thinks it's more fun to keep coming back as the same a-hole than changing his act and thus getting accepted by the general chewer population.

Interesting that you only took the first half of what i posted there Kid Ego, go back and re-read what i said. I was implying that unless you actually know a poster in person you have no idea who they actually are or how many other people they have been on the bords. So just chill Nick and if they piss you off ban them dont loose sleep about how many people have alter egos/were banned or may be out to wind you up.

Nick, this is why I respectfully disagree with your stance on paying to join the site. I understand that you don't want to be beholden to anyone regarding the site content, but how much more can one really expect for a couple of bucks? We know the site is quality, that is why we are here. I'm sure most Chewers agree the reduction in trolling would be worth every penny.

I don't think it's even that much of an issue. Clearly I don't have to deal with them from an administration angle like Nick does, but I find it quite easy to simply ignore them. Trolling doesn't taint my experience on this site one iota.

I didn't mean to come off as sassy in regards to your post, Gracie. There's a lot of credence to the "out of sight, out of mind" policy. Like you said, "most" Chewers would probably agree with you.
