Does anyone else have this problem?

Okay, so my roommate is really into Star Wars Galaxies. I was for about a month and then got bored pretty fast. Now he sits behind me at his computer and has a program that allows him to talk to his online buddies. Which is a cool program when used for planning attacks and what not. But he fucking sounds like a 12 year old girl gossiping behind me. He constantly screams at the screen and I swear to god, I have never heard so much drama over a damn game. Now, I'm not hating on game players, cause I myself am a gamer. But it's gotten to the point that when my girlfriend and I are trying to watch a movie, all we can hear is "SHIT!!! THAT GODDAMN NIGHTSISTER IS HEALING SO and SO AND FUCK THAT ALL TO HELL!!!" or "HOW DARE THAT GUY TAKE MY KILL, I'LL FUCKING KILL HIM AND SHOW HIM THAT NO ONE MESSES WITH ROGELIO!!!" grrrr....That intermixed with constant mouse clicking is really making me go insane.....srry to rant, but I had to....


Edited becuase I forgot to explain that this is all he does...really....he will wake up and go straight to the game, go to work, come home and go straight back to it......me thinks it's time to find a new place to live.....

was going to edit once again but decided to just reply to my own thread becuase i'm just that cool....Has anyone seen that AOL IM commercial with the two roommates? I feel like the guy who takes a bat to his roomie's puter....blah...

Some guys at work are big into Dark Ages of Camelot, at least they were. Every night, they'd be talking back and forth about trolls and the politics of their group and how this one guy's trying to be the leader, but THEY have a better character and they could SO kick his ass on a PvP server. It's annoying as all hell and the people who play the games actually turned me off even trying to play.

...much like car commercials on the radio.

Tell him that they other people can't hear him, and if he doesn't stop, you'll drop a magnet on his monitor.

Or better yet, just drop a magnet on his monitor...

heh...I have messed with his computer before....Nothing that will damage things, but have switched around keys from the keyboard and what not.....Also, have put "bad pictures" as his desktop pics...It's not my fault that he never changes his password...lol

Oh believe me, we have had interventions over this damn game...It's gotten to the point that I'll have a bunch of friends over and we will all be interacting, having some drinks, etc etc, and he will not even get up off of his chair to say hi to these people. It's kinda embarassing because anytime I bring someone new over to the apartment, I warn them before hand that the roomie may be yelling at his computer or it may look like he's talking to himself....I need to get him out and have my girl move in....lol

Funny thing is, I'm the huge Star Wars geek....I totally thought I'd have no life when that game came out...Turns out I like girls more...Go figure.....hehe

izzim, I would secretly cut the cable to his modem and then make it look like the wire was intact.

That or just record some of his conversations with his game buddies and hide it in a remote controlled tape player in his room somewhere (in a vent?) and play it while he is trying to sleep.

Michele's brother. When he's not demanding the undivided attention of his fiancee' he's always on his computers (2 of em') playing something that he's far too into for it to be considered healthy. The best part is-Michele doesn't have a bedroom, her bed is just in the basement so it doesn't matter to Mr. Selfish Prick if she's trying to get some sleep before or after she's worked midnights, he's racing or shooting something and yelling orders and comments to his online friends. The computer area is but a mere 10-15 feet from her bed, mind you. What an asshole.

Me too. I warned people before this came out. I told my wife she'd rarely see me once I got it. After about a month of playing, I cancelled my subscription and gave away my game. I had no idea that MMORPG's were this freaking boring. I'd rather read posts on CHUD than Jedi grind.
