"Owed you that one, dude!" DEATH WISH 3

Porno music. Charles Bronson. ED LAUTER. I really love this movie. This has got to have one of the highest body counts in recorded history. The villain gets shot 7 times, all of them manage to hit his bulletproof vest. Then Bronson kills him with a LAW rocket launcher from only 4 feet away, the entire section of the building explodes, and Bronson and cop-buddy-who-says-dude-way-too-much are just fine.

"They killed the Giggler man! THE GIGGLER!"

My favorite scene: Ed Lauter and Bronson literally WALK down the middle of the street, shooting dozens of armed gang members who can't hit them at all.

One of my all time favorite Guilty pleasure flicks. Hilarious and cool at the same time.

Actually, Kersey calls it a "LAWS rocket launcher". The S stands for supersafe, since he can use it at 4 feet away and survive.

Fuck, you stole my quote. Best quote in the history of motion pictures.

It's laughable at how low this franchise sunk. Death Wish 2 is one of the worst movies ever made, yet its a miracle part 3 was at least somewhat entertaining.

Its up there on the great list with Commando as an action/comedy classic for all time. People would weep after watching a back to back double feature of those flicks. Rightfully so taking into account the high body count that is.

Part 2's best quality is that creepy Jimmy Page music.

Chuck's too- close-in-proximity rocket kill and Arnie's saw blade to the forehead recalls some great moments from the best decade ever-the 80's!

When is the lump of shit out on DVD, have to add it to my bad movie collection?

Death Wish 3 is out on dvd now, albeit a barebones version.

What kind of extras were you expecting?

At least...
Zombie Bronson/Ed Lauter/Ricco Ross commentary
Extended 5 hour cut of the film
Massive digipak packaging

Hey man perhaps you should watch this again and get reaquainted with wieldy.
Hey, I didn't say it sucked. I just think it is nowhere near as fun (or even as good) as Commando. If you would have said Rambo 3 or something maybe...
Commando is more fun no doubt.

My friend Wildey is here!
*blank stares from everyone in Kersey's room*

You know I really need to find that mail order arsenal warehouse Bronson ordered from in this. Also a good/safe post office box where this stuff can be delivered.

I love how Fraker casually calls in for gangster reinforcements over the phone.
"Hi, this is Fraker. I need some heat in my area. Thanks."
*bumping this thread* This movie is a classic and needs to be recognized as such.

I love the goofy final shot that implies Charles Bronson brought justice to Detroit. He's driving away as the city lies in rubble thanks to his massive firepower, and I'm pretty sure stuff is still on fire.
Kersey just added to the problem. Now gangs of ELDERLY people rule the city.
Elderly people who all had guns in their sock drawers.
ah, the DW3 stuff takes me back.

Bronson and Lauter always got the glory in these threads though, the equally hilarious Balsam never got enough love very frankly.
Balsam couldn't operate the big machine gun. He got what he deserved.
Only a Force of Nature like Chuck Bronson could defeat criminal mastermind like Mandy Fraker.

Also, if you even shake hands with Paul Kersey, you will likely be murdered by Urban Thugs.

I'm sure Rob Zombie would be happy to give him a backstory. Hacky cock.

yeah so anyway, Conal Cochran was his Old Man in real life.

Ah, Death Wish 3. One of those special movies. "Okay, let's see what's on... Casablanca, cool. Jaws, sweet. Oh hey, TCM is showing some Kurosawa- HOLY SHIT, Death Wish 3 is on. Fuck yeah! Hope I didn't miss the part where the dude leaves his two front teeth in the wooden plank booby trap." Click.

I always thought that scene where they go to the hospital and the doctor tells the guy, I can't remember the character's name, that his wife had 'expired' was fucking weird. At first they tell him she just has a broken arm or something, then he gets there and she's dead. Now that's a good hospital. Plus, it was the first time I heard the word expired in that meaning. Always found it unsettling, to reduce the death of a person to a carton of milk.

Useless trivia time- Alex Winter was in this movie.
And the expired wife was none other than Counselor Troi herself, Marina Sirtis.

It's no fun to be raped to death in one of your first roles. At least, not for the actress.
