Franco is the aptly-named Prince Fabious, golden boy of the Kingdom, slayer of beasts and recently engaged to a hottie. Danny McBride is his resentful, mopey brother who is often too stoned to...
This film boasts an incredible story and a very impressive soundtrack. Trainspotting includes graphic scenes of drug use, sex and death. One of the finest films to come from Scotland, this movie...
I like when he's talking to Sharon Stone on the video phone in the glowing red bar after she captures Quaid. I like the part when he wipes his hand on the screen over her face. God that was seckzy.
This guy is so cool, and so real. Not like these pretend pretty-boy actors we get these days. Possibly one of the few actors to fight Arnold and not look ridiculously outmatched while doing so. The dude was angry!
Turn up Total Recall and listen to the squeals he lets out when he fires the shotgun in the taxi chase, and the louder squeals he lets out when Arnold's punching him just before he dies.
No doubt about it, Ironside was awesome in "Total Recall" and "Starship Troopers." But to me his definitive role will always be Ham Tyler from "V: The Final Battle." One of the best TV fight scenes was Ironside and Marc Singer duking it out on top of a pick-up truck.
I agree w/Ham Tyler. V kicks up several notches once he shows up. He's the Han Solo of that mini-series.
Also gotta love his Overdog character in Spacehunter. Gimme a prequel showing this character's origin and I'm all over it. I know he was a doctor sent to stop the plague, but then what?
He's also the voice of Sam Fisher in the Splinter Cell games and Darkseid on JLA/Superman. The guy's badass. If I were to ever make a Nick Fury movie I'd be real tempted to cast him just because of his voice.
But his best role was on V. I hope he's in the new mini-series.
When I was 8, I thought he was the toughest SOB out there after I saw him kill that Alien on V by standing on his chest and pouring the poison powder on his face. That was badass then...and now. Also he had one of the best characters on ER.
What film is this picture from?
It´s muthafuckin´ Michael Ironside as Santa Claus!
Oh, by the way, i found this picture in one of those "The fact that this thing exists is hilarious" things on Chud.com.
It's a picture from "V: The Series," during their Christmas episode. I bought this set because I loved the show, especially Ironside, as a kid but I have not watched many of the episodes after his character left. I wish he would have stuck around longer to dress up as the Easter Bunny.
The V tv-series was a favourite of mine as a kid too.
There´s been talk of a remake of the series, with all the same actors returning, i really hope that happens.
I´m watching Starship Troopers right now, Michael Ironside is one of the best things about this film.
I just saw LAND OF THE DEAD and there is one of the lesser zombie hunters, who's mainly just in the Dead Reckoning, that looks like a really young Michael Ironside.
That statement didn't have much to do with Ironside himself so I'll throw in that EXTREME PREJUDICE was a decent film.
