An Xbox! No longer must I fight the boys at work for an Xbox. I have one! WHEEEEE!

What should I get?

What's so good about X-Box? I've never played on one. Is it better than a PS2?
Guess what I'm getting tomorrow?
Get Xbox Live... and Rainbow 6 and Crimson Skies. Get in on some Chewer action!

Football Games
Games that Suck.
- KotOR
- Halo
- Crimson Skies
- XIII
- Ninja Gaiden
- Ghost Recon
- Tenchu

Really cool games coming up... at some point in time.

- Manhunt
- Sudeki
- Starcraft: Ghost
- Fable
- BC
- Call of Cthulhu
- Halo II

Well, Halo is the best game ever made, especially if you're planning on playing with another person. Crimson Skies is also very fun and easy to pick up and play. Both of those are $30. If you like Star Wars or RPG even a little, Knights of the Old Republic is a no brainer. If you like racing games, Project Gotham 2 and SSX3 are both solid choices. If you're planning on getting the Xbox Live online service, grab Splinter Cell 2.

But if you like shooting games even a little, I'd make Halo my first purchase.

The Suffering kicks ass too. Horror/action hybrid. Not for the kiddies.
Ninja Gaiden is essential. When a game of that caliber comes out for your system, you gotta pick it up. It's an uber-polished, AAA title in every way. A lotta people are't digging it because of the difficulty level, which is both understandable and lame at the same time, but I digress. Get it. Love it.

Must furisously write these down....

I just checked out the Fable website and it looks A++ very cool.

I'd say unless you're a REALLY hardcore gamer who loves a good challenge, rent Ninja Gaiden before buying it. I loaned my copy to a casual gamer and he couldn't even beat the first level. He hated the game.

I agree that it's one of the best games on the system, but it's definitely not for everybody, and it might not be the best choice for someone new to the system.

If my lurking hasn't caused me to confuse you with someone else, get the first Buffy the Vampire Slayer game. Good stuff.
I'll add Splinter Cell: PT to the list. Much love for this game. It's actually broken my Crimson Skies habit, and it's competing with my sleeping and eating habits.

Oh, has anyone mentioned the Indiana Jones game? Great fun, and probably in the bargain bins by now.

And good luck, Zombiekilla!

I hear that refurb X-Boxes are $89 at Fry's now. Cheapness happens.

I still won't own one.

Crimson Skies isn't an RPG.

Wait. Yes. It is. And so is its sequel. Both of which are on the XBOX. Which will play even better on a greem XBOX.

I just caved and bought an X-Box too. I couldn't pass up 89 bucks for a used X-Box and used Halo (119 for the package, plus a $30 rebate I hadn't used yet at Gamestop.com).
