Nope, other boards do this all the time. You make "You may be banned at any time for any reason at the discretion of the site owner or moderators" a part of the terms of service.

But, Nick already addressed this in one of the steady leak columns in the mailbag section. He feels it's more trouble than it's worth. People complaining about a free service is one thing, fielding complaints from paying customers is a whole other ballgame.

In a nutshell-
For a few hours this morning the trolls from SP covered the boards with posts and pictures. They were here for awhile already, the longest being JRP. Today being 4/1 they all "revealed" themselves, activated silly, obnoxious pictures attached to all of their past posts, and patted themselves on the back. Nick stepped in and erased all traces of them and their posts. They were going for a whole 911/sleeper agent/terrorist thing. It was kind of fun while it lasted, but like all of their schtick, got old after the first hour or so.
I give them a "C".
It was a well orchestrated and executed plan, but they had no follow-through. Their big reveal was "Ha! We've been here for weeks! Look at us! Look at us!" and nothing more.

It's not like it was all that hard to spot them either. JRP was trolling the Politics forum for months, and suddenly he started posting in all the other forums either being an asshole or being all puppy dog to Nick.

I'm sure if Nick wasn't as busy, he would have seen them too.

I'm just glad things are getting back to the wa they should be around here.

The bad vibes are fading away and I feel like I can relax again and just come on here and enjoy myself in the company of the other chewers.

Fair enough, I do try to make sense though. I whole heartedly subscribe to the theory that other people's misery is funny as long as it doesn't happen to me.

Some people here couldn't care about SP or the "war" between Chud and SP, it's those people that get caught in the crossfire.

Many times people pop in a thread and post nonsensical posts, or say something off color, or stir the pot.

I do it.

But I think a lot of people have trouble with so called trolls who just come on these boards and fuck with people. "Trolls" who go into a thread, contribute nothing but an insult to a member. There's nothing wrong with different opinions, but sometimes the attacks are unfounded or unwarranted.

Just because someone posts on Chud shouldn't make them an enemy to SP.

Just because someone posts on SP shouldn't make them an enemy to Chud.

It has to do with how those people handle themselves on those other boards-the ones they don't usually frequent.

If you're a dick, then you're a dick no matter where you are.
