Um... I can't really think of anything else.

Ok, you know people bitch and moan more than they should. They also become incredibly envious of those that succeed. Since CHUD has grown so much lately, the law of averages dictate that you'll get more bad apples in the mix. This has no bearing on you Nick, you do what you can to keep this site and these boards enjoyable, but one man can only do so much.

My only complaints around here have everything to do with Trolls and assholes that can't handle someone such as yourself being successful. I have no problems with you personally, and I believe very few people do.

when I first registered, one of my first posts was questioning Denzel Washington's Oscar win for Training Day. Once you weighed in in favor of DenZEL, I kind of skulked away. But now I'm going to bitch and complain because I think your opinion sucked. Denzel was a cardboard cut-out of a rogue cop. Thug does not equal charisma. His win was a consolidation to compensate for all the harm and damage he was doing to the academy because of his "race" campaign. I watched his appearance on the Today Show not long after his Malcolm X loss aired on a Headliners & Legends episode, and he cried racism. And when he didn't win for The Hurricane, everyone joined in on the racism argument. Hence, the pressure on Academy voters and sympathy for Denzel mounted. Russell Crowe should have won for A Beautiful Mind but not for Gladiator because Ed Harris should have that one for Pollock. It's all useless... I just want Nick to know I still disagree and for someone to agree with me that Denzel didn't win for his performance but more for his politicking.

I have no complaints, Nick. This is the first message board I've ever registered on, and it's the only one I post on now. I started last fall, and I've turned into a CHUD monster. I visit the site at least 2 or 3 times a day. It's pretty much the only thing I do on the internet except for check email and play games.

I totally love the site, I just need to read the news and stuff more often. Keep on keepin on, man!

...in all seriousness, I don't see the point in discussing fundamental aspects of someone's personality on the Internet. If I knew them, and they were a big part of my personal life, yeah, but not a message board.

You meet so many people online, it's best to just have a live and let live atttitude towards anyone you find a problem with. Theres nothing your going to do to change them, and they only effect you if you allow it to happen.

As far as Nick goes, I consider him a cool guy. He created a fantastic site, and built the best online movie discussion community there is. The man is a human being, though, not Jim Caviezel. He's got skidmarks on his undies, always forgets to refill the fucking icecube tray, and probably acts like an asshole sometimes. Not unlike the rest of us.

Not everyone on the messageboard is going to be your buddy. And probably a few of them have serious problems. You'll never know.

At this point, privileging the opinions of people slagging you off on your messageboard with an airing should be somewhere on your list of priorities under "Count all of my eyelashes" and "Write that letter to my third grade teacher saying what a cock I thought he was that time he gave me detention for hitting that crying wuss Johnny Filtz with the dodgeball when he thought it was deliberate but it wasn't, it was an ACCIDENT, for crying out loud, and I didn't even really hurt the little bastard, and NOBODY BELIEVED ME!"

I still think that the whole revelation of what you had cooked up with Ludwig was a hell of a lot more damning than finding out that people had access to CHUD accounts, and I think you somehow skated out of that pretty clean. I wish you were able to follow your own advice in that regard.

Prehaps if you stopped bating the "other" website then you would be in a better position to take the moral high-ground.

I don't know what the Nick bashing has been, but I find it pretty sad. This guy has dedicated years of his life to share his love of film with us. I don't know how he finds the time to do so much quality work, but it is amazing. A lot of us have been around Nick in person and he is even more likeable in the flesh. One could translate these comments as ass-kissing, but what do you really think I have to gain by doing that? There are so many jealous people in the world and Nick is an easy target for those types. I believe that a lot of his dreams are coming true and I have found it to be a special thing to witness over the years.

I got a severe warning when I created five threads in one day. Despite furthering conversation, I was threatened with dismissal from the site. Why, I'll never know.
