Perhaps this film doesn't do too much to end stereotypes for either blacks or southerners, but as a fun action flick I think it succeeds. William Saddler gets the greatest case of "gold fever" I think I've ever seen and the film's ending is classic.

"Like the good man said, don't leave home without it. Especially when you're in East St. Louis."

Man, I love this movie and the soundtrack.
The last song, "King of the Street", that uses samples from the movie is awesome.
"Gang? We ain't no punk-ass gang?"

Yeah, that movie is crazy. Bill Paxton, Ice Cube, Ice-T. Forget it.
