Neon Maniacs

I don't know if there is a thread about this, so...


I picked up Neon Maniacs on DVD the other day. Not a bad movie, but by no means a good movie.

I like the different creatures, but most of them weren't used very well, and the ending kinda blows.

But, this movie holds a special place in my heart, because I saw it on cable in the 80's the same day I saw Night of the Creeps and Chopping Mall on cable.

Those 3 movies, to me will forever be linked.

Interesting fact: The blond heroine was once married to Robocop's Miguel Ferrer.

Not to mention the fact that she played Sharon Stone's lesbian lover in Basic Instinct.

Man, I haven't seen Neon Maniacs in ages; I also caught it on cable in the 80s...around the same time I first saw Night of the Creeps.

Is the DVD worth the purchase?

I'd say so, but it's a totally no frills disc. I seriously doubt we'll be seeing a special edition for this, so I'd recommend it if you liked the movie.

For me, it sure beats watching an old VHS version taped off of HBO, shown after The Wild Life.

I actually saw this in the theater, god bless it. This was the one with the Village People assortment of monsters that were afraid of water, correct? It's a "MST3K" waiting to happen.

but on topic, i need to buy this movie. any movie where things killed by water live under a bridge is worth my time.
