What movie should I order?

I'm ordering a couple of DVDs for my Dad and figured I might as well get myself one or two just for being a great guy. Here's some I'm thinking about:

Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things
Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
Shock Waves
Shivers
Dead and Buried
Return of the Living Dead
The Dead Hate the Living
Evil Dead Trap


Anyone care to suggest something I might have overlooked?

Return of the Living Dead is one of my all time faves. Not too high on any of the others, though (I guess Shock Waves would be my #2)

'Return' or 'Dead and Buried' (just make sure you get the Blue Underground 2-disc set).

Of the films on your list, LET SLEEPING CORPSES LIE is my favorite . . .

. . . off the top of my head, a few films that you could add to that list might include ( these babies can be scored for around 10 bucks ) :

TOURIST TRAP
EYES OF LAURA MARS
ALICE, SWEET ALICE
GOD TOLD ME TO

.. and if you want to go slightly off the horror path ( but not straying too far ), my suggestions would be:

WOMAN IN THE DUNES
MS .45
PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK
THE NIGHT PORTER


... but ya can't go wrong w/ LET SLEEPING CORPSES LIE ... Great zombie film

Return of the Living Dead and Dead and Buried. I just wrote a huge essay talking about Dan O'Bannon's wprk, so I'm on a kick. That and the fact that his work is fucking great.

I watched Shivers and Children Shouldn't Play tonight and all I can say is: LYNN LOWRY WAS A HOTTAAYY-AAY-AAYY BACK IN THE DAY-AAY-AAY.

Evil Dead Trap is a film that I really liked. It is a Japanese film with a real Italian feel to it. It also contains one of the most disturbing scenes I can recall. The movie does have it's downfall though and twords the end it kinda falls off track in my book.
I loved the Goblin esque soundtrack.

Redroostr is correct. The Dead Hate the Living was a really lowbudget rehash of several zombie films. The influence of ROTLD and The Beyond is downright criminal.

The first time I watched The Dead Hate The Living I absolutely hated it. I thought it was some masturbatory POS, like hanging out with a name-dropper all night. But I watched it a few more times and actually grew to like it. For $10 I'll probably end up buying it soon.


And is that 2-Disc Zombi 2 ever going to be released?
