Stuart Gordon Interview

Really great, solid interview! The only thing I missed was a question about the status of WHERE THE CHILL WAITS, an adaptation he was attached to a little over a year ago.

Where might I find this interview?
I was lucky enough to see him at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, CA when he was signing the limited edition soundtracks for Reanimator and From Beyond. We chatted about Lovecraft and the other time I met him (at a horror marathon in Columbus Ohio in 1990-something). He was a hugely accessable and kind person. He stated he was trying to do THE THING ON THE DOORSTEP but that it was too early to say if it would happen or not.

PS I have no idea what relevance that last paragraph contains.

Generally a good rule of thumb is if we're referencing something on the boards like an interview, there's a good chance it's actually on the site. Recently.

Kudos to Axl for such a kick ass interview, and for starting it off on such a morbid note. Weird chicks are the coolest.

So what's this WHERE THE CHILL WAITS about? Is it at least horror? I can't get real worked up about the non-genre stuff like KING OF THE ANTS or this new Mamet thing he's working on...

I liked Dagon and really want to see King of the Ants.

But I'm still such a Re-Animator fan I can't help but wish he'd just make another one in the franchise before anything else, which I think still has a great deal of good will left with the fans. It's not really fair to him but hey... that's how I feel. I'm a loser Re-Animator fan boy.

I was let down with Space Truckers.
