All must go to launch.com and do a search for GWAR. View the Immortal Corruptor video. people skined alive and disembowled then feed to a monster while thrashing all around.

Gotta love GWAR. I've seen them a couple of times live. It's the best gore soaked, depraved puppet show you'll see besides Meet The Feebles.
Even better than the script that I'll never get around to actually writing.

GWAR is my favourite band of all time! I am officially slave #1273, and fucking proud of it. If you ever want to watch an excellent horror/music movie, buy Skulhedface -- it's FUCKING AMAZING!

I don't know if they've started doing Slaughterama live again, but if they are, that's reason enough to see them right there. I have fond memories of being drenched in the Pope's fake blood after Oderus chopped off his head. All the while the sold out crowd are chanting in unison and pumping their fists in the air. Good times, even if the intensity of the crowd was sort of scary in that the scene was vaguely reminiscent of a Hitler Youth rally.

i've seen them live 3 or 4 times and theyve never failed to rock my ass apart. best live band in history.

GWAR live was not a concert... it was an experience.

I loved when they gave due respect to their influences, and MY favorite band of all time, and started playing a KISS cover. Even as the ex-cops they rocks beyond all reason. Immortal Corruptor is a great song too. I think if most people want to just label GWAR as talentless shock, that is a perfect song to let them hear without telling them who it is.

It can open some eyes.

I saw Gwar a few years ago in Pittsburgh. That was some crazy shit. You're right about it being an experience and not a concert. It was a totally different atmosphere. As far as them being the best live - I'd have to say thats only true if you're there for the atmosphere and the show and not the music. That's not to say they're talentless by any stretch of the imagination.
