Final Fantasy X game error - anyone else?

So - yes it has taken me almost two years to even open the game and start playing. That is what having a little one in the house can do to your game time. Anyway, the disk will freeze everytime I attempt to learn the Jecht Shot Challenge on the S.S. Winno for Tidus. I thought it was the disk so I went and rented the game and I am having the same problem - did anyone else have this issue?

Me either.

Could it be that your machine just doesn't like something about that particular game? I know that sounds like a sarcastic remark, but seriously, maybe there some sort of bug or something in your PS2 that just doesn't agree with something that is on all those FFX discs.

Thanks for the replies. The game is working now - I think I might had left the machine on too long and it reacted badly. On to blitzball.
