Ten Minutes of New Footage

Nothing as action packed as the first trailer but it shows off how the camouflage system works, plus some in-game utilization.

That croc hat will come in handy.

They're making SUCH a huge deal out of the fucking camoflage angle. Who the hell wants to be constantly changing outfits?

Looks pretty cool. Though, the enemies seemed oblivious to moving blades of grass right in front of them.

I hope changing the camo is something simple like a tap of the right analog stick.

Well, either way, I just hope this one ends with a long non sequitur lecture on what we do for our children/American history, too.

I love the little girly scream the enemy soldier does when he sees the 'crocodile'.

Because it's a cool, new and innovative gameplay feature.

"Man, they're making such a big deal of the lighting effects in Splinter Cell, who the hell wants to be constantly hiding in shadows?"

The game continues to look amazing.

I just fear load times that would allow me to grow beards between levels.

Why? It's not like there were huge load times in the previous installments.

That's true, but the more advanced the PS2 games are becoming the longer the load times are.

The technology of the software has long surpassed that of the hardware and there is only so much they can do when they can't bang stuff off a hard drive or something.

The load times for Resident Evil: Outbreak are ridiculous. Much worse than the previous RE games.

And, yes, I know that the new PS2 HDD is out. But I don't see it as a reasonable investment at $100 since I wouldn't care to play Final Fantasy and it's only a stop-gap between now and PS3.

The sound was awesome, and the grass effects are absolutely amazing. I'm less thrilled with changing outfits on the fly though, that's very Final Fantasy-ish. That's not the kind of disbelief I normally suspend for a Metal Gear game.
