Hulk

To me, perfect.Reading all these posts has made me realise how much I adore this film.
Not only is it my favourite comic book adaptation, it's easily in my top 5 alltime.
The Arabic/Moroccon score. Nolte's rant. The sound Hulk makes as he tears off the top othe tank. The contemplative moments- Stops and stares at the desert moss, dreams while falling. Perfect centrepiece CGI in places. The raw brutality of the dogfight. The Subgenius style of the Hulks actions. The complicated scientific explanation/background. I agree with whoever said that there isn't an unintentional frame. Ang Lee should of got FF.
Part of it's box office failure, other than not giving the dumb masses what they want was the constant ass kicking of the American Military. Not a concept to be shown in this current climate.

True, I also love it. I wish it had a more extensive DVD though...perhaos theres a 2 Disc edition to look forward to. Pray for and Ang Lee commentry, however unlikely it may be.

Guess I'm in the minority. I thought it was pretty damn boring, and the fx weren't all that great. If it had been trimmed down, a little more Hulk action, maybe. But a comic book movie is not a good venue for a character study. As a superhero movie I rank it below X1...But above Daredevil, of course.

The Hulk anatomy is a weird menu, where you could select the Hulk's body part and it would give you facts about them. (Pick his fingers, he can crush blah blah of steel with so much pressure ect ect).

Entertaining, but no where near as good as the documentory where they follow his being built and how he works. Makes you appreciate how complex he really was, whether he looks convincing on screen or not.

The only thing I noticed left out was that they said then tried doing the Hulk with Eric Bana's facial features, except it didnt look right so they scrapped Erics face and just made up a new standard Hulk one. I would have liked to have seen what it looked like with Eric's face, but they didnt show it.

I own the 2-disc Region 1 special edition. It does have an Ang Lee commentary (which is great, BTW), the anatomy feature, and some other stuff, can't really remember.
OK, here
Anyway, I don't know if there have been more than one release, but the one I got is pretty complete.

Yes, it really helped explain some of the choices made throughout the film.

Bastards...I got the Region 2 Version and theres only about 2 hours worth of extras, on a single disc. Whats there is golden, but I just felt in such an effects heavy movie, there could be more.

Unless I'm severly mistaken and my version is a 2-discer after all...bah I can't remember. But I want more! And a sequel! And a New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie!

excellent film, i liked the fact that it played out like an actual movie and probbaly one of the first to actually concentrate on a well thought out story line, plot, and execution, the effects were cool as well, less muppet and more matrix which was nice, although i would have preferred an actual body builder'ish hulk, maybe it's the Bill Bixby in me, and it was one of the few comic book adaptations that pretty much stuck to the original, i mean why mess with a winning formula in the first place?...

That's a great moment.
Right up there with falling on his ass after he first tranforms in the lab.

Also when he sneezes when they douse him with sleeping gas.
