"Yog-Sothoth! YOG-SOTHOTH!" THE DUNWICH HORROR

Definitely I'm in the minority on this puppy, but this is among my top 10 favorite horror movies of all time. It really creeps me out, and I think a lot of it is due to the 70s styled music and sets that it has. The lighting is otherworldly. Look at the Whately house. It's like a demonic funhouse, blue, green, orange lighting. It creeps the hell out of me. Dean Stockwell is spooky too, I thought.

Sounds interesting but is it actually Lovecraftian? It doesn't have to be a literal adaptation of the Lovecraft story but I'd like it to have that certain "vibe" to it. For example I totally dug DAGON even though it took a lot of liberties in adapting two unrelated Lovecraft stories into one film.

The general storyline arc is similar to the Lovecraft story, but it's set in the 70s, which takes some of the feeling away.

Sounds good. I'll check it out.

Does it have giant slugs (like in the story)?

I don't know if it's slugs, I haven't seen it in a while, but it has some freaky rubber monsters.
