Should I buy an XBOX?

Ok folks, should I get an XBOX? I already have a PS2 so I'm debating moving over to the dark side. One of my concens is around Sports games. Do the EA games come out on XBOX the same time as the PS2? Or is it like GTA and I will have to wait months/years? Overall, does the XBOX now have enough of a game library with new games coming out to make it worthwhile? Is the XBOX live as good as (or better) than the PS2 on-line product? Thanks for responding!!!!

ea's bastard games, for the moment, do not include online support/modes.

no, don't buy an x-box. all your ps2 pals will think you lame and then you'll die a lonely death.

unless of course you want in on all the cool fun the majority of chewers are having with microsofts bulky machine.

look for prala's thread down below somewhere when building your library.

Yes buy one. There was another price job so it's a little bit cheaper than it was. The online is awesome but no EA games on Live. But you will get to play Halo 2 online. Also you get Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow Live and better graphics.

EA has confirmed Live capability in the past few days for a select few sports titles. Im sure the number and genre of EA games will get larger in the upcoming months. Buy an Xbox and welcome to the best online gaming a console has to offer.

I would definitely go with Xbox. I love mine like it's my baby. There are a ton of greta games out right now like Splinter Cell, and any of the EA Games for sports. Plus, you got Madden 2005 coming out soon and Shadow Ops. You better bet that if you buy one you'll be stuck to it all summer long.

I was in the same position a while ago, (owned a PS2 and was wary of XBOX) and as far as games go, XBOX has some solid exclusives, like KOTOR and Halo, and some great games they get way before the other systems, like Splinter Cell: PT, but generally I've been buying games on XBOX that I would've gotten on PS2 because I like the slightly sharper graphics.

Besides, if you already have a PS2, you won't need to worry about waiting for games, just buy them on whichever system gets them first.
