Eileen's SEARCHING FOR DEBRA WINGER review

I was hoping that someone else would start this thread because I'm borderline moronic and have had trouble with this whole starting a thread thing. But someone needs to give Eileen some love for her review of Searching For Debra Winger

I can imagine it being tough to write a review of something like this for a site as testosterone-rich as CHUD. And documentaries are by nature subjective works filmed, edited and fashioned to prove or disprove a point. So not only does a review have to rate the feature as a work of art, but it has to break down a myriad of other factors just to let you guys know whether it's a worthy piece. But Eileen, as usual, comes through for us. This was a tough job. Great review.

Oh, and screw what anyone says, Eileen: you keep on putting in your sexual innuendos for the screencaps. The only thing that would have improved this review would have been something risque mentioned under the picture of Ebert.

That is so cool. I wonder if it's legal to reproduce that letter on the boards in part or in whole? I want to hear what Rosanna Arquette had to say.

I saw this on TV, I thought it was an interesting documentary for the most part, I've lawys wondered where Debra Winger had gone seeing as she was so big in the eighties and it does touch on a valid point about actresses in Hollywood.
Also, Rosanna Arquette directed the doco not Patricia, It's a nitpick but I just had to get it off my chest.

Wow, thanks for the nice comments Populationrob, I appreciate that. Regarding the email from Rosanna, I am checking into that to make 100% sure.

DragonMa, I saw this also on Tv (Showtime) early last year and my interest in seeing it then was a woman had done the documentary and was going to talk to women. Nothing worse than listening to just men talk about problems women face in Hollywood!

I corrected the Patricia/Rosanna mix-up earlier today btw (that was my "oh shit!!!! I can't believe I did that" moments and to say the least I was ticked off at myself over that blunder)

This was the first CHUD review that made me want to seek a movie out. Love that Netflix.
