I'm sure the Colts' draft will pan out well as always, but it definitely left me scratching my head. Trading down three times was too much. The first trade put us in a really good position and I thought we should've stayed with those picks.
Picking Ben Hartsock with our second pick was stupid. We sorely need another pass-rushing DE or starting caliber OLB, but instead we pick a TE that's going to be our third-stringer. Addressing the TE position is fine for us because we use a two TE-set quite often, but doing it where we did it was dumb.
That said, I love the Bob Sanders pick. The guy is a playmaker and brings some attitude to a D that is definitely lacking it. Kendyll Pope in the 4th round was a pretty solid pick as well. I guess this whole draft makes a lot more sense when you consider we're trying to save every penny to keep Marvin Harrison and Edgerrin James next year. If we do retain them both, then I can easily forgive the Hartsock bullshit.
