So yeah, I've got a new...project...going on.
A couple of my friends and I were sitting around a month or two ago, pretty much just rambling on about music. We're all in bands or at least have been, and we discovered that between the four of us, we had two guitarists, a bassist, and a singer (That would be I). We talk about how cool it would be to start a goofball side project playing weird covers and free-form stuff.
One thing leads to another, a few phone calls are placed, and we've got a band.
A metal band.
A death metal band
With customized member names, pentagrams, and goblins (Our guitarist lives with an assistant manager at Spencer Gifts, so we get all this weird shit pretty much for free).
Here's the thing....we only play covers of one band. Most of them are very simple to play and the transition from pop to death metal is going pretty well. They aren't undistinguishable by any means, but they are definitley sped up and "metalized", complete with massive guitar solos and breakdowns, and of course, scream/growl vocals.
The band I'm talking about? Hall and Oates.
Wish me luck.
