Who watched the Reds-Cubs game yesterday (4-16)?

Best game I've seen in a long time. When people question the validity of baseball as an exciting sport I would show them a tape of that game.

The game should be on ESPN Classics soon. The game had everything except solid pitching. Regardless it was very dramatic and reminded me of last years Cubs/Cardnials game when the Cubs were down 6-0 and Baker/LaRussa were exchanging F-Bombs. Cubs went on to win 8-7 and it was electric like Friday's game.

The Reds are my NL team. My best friend is a Cubs fan. I called him when it was like 9-5 in the 6th and said that it would be cool that the Reds would be 6-3 after this game and alone in first.

Then right after the back to back homers in the ninth, my phone rang.

great game, though the pitching sucked for both teams and the umps were clueless (Dusty Baker being ejected after the ump proved to be a complete moron after the double switch was embarrasing for the ump crew).

Great game.

You know what though? There's been A TON of great games already this year... and we're only 10 games into it.

question for you the Red Fan. Is Wily Mo Pena the worst RF you've ever seen? He's butchered some 5 plays so far this series and Dunn in Left isn't any better. Dunn would be a great DH.

The Braves/Cubs, Reds/Cubs, and Sox/Yankees (both Sox teams) have been good. Very pleased with the season thus far.

Well that just about validated my MLBtv subscription.

Great game, just wish the strike zone didn't move around so much.

Looks like we have a new entry for the Great Games list.

April 21st

Marlins 8
Phillies 7
(12 innings)

Ugh, not a great game from my end.

Must've been tragic for you Phillie fans, especially considering that the Marlins completed the sweep this afternoon.

I went nuts when Lowell homered off that Wagner fastball in the 9th to tie the game. It was the first 3-HR game by a Marlin, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Winners and losers aside, it was a fantastic game.

Eh, I dunno about that. Conine got away with one on the ground-rule double. And hey, I don't blame him, it was a cagey move, but the umps seemed all too willing to just rule what Conine decided.

Anyway, this series could be a good turning point if the Phils keep swinging the bats like they did in the past two games. Of course, the pitching needs to stop crapping out on us.
