I'm just a man with a sampler...My movie music remixes.

I guess it's not really "My band" but it is my music. Or my manipulations and re-workings of existing music. Yes, I know about all the complaints regarding hip hop and "lack of creativity" so please save them, I'm not looking to get into that debate. But if you're into hip hop, or instrumental hip hop, or movie scores, or a combination of all three...

This is stuff I've cooked up over the past 3 or 4 years, with one cut ("Dont' Make Me Destroy You") going back all the way to 98. Everything iin there is based on existing movie score, from "Untouchables" to "Love Story" to "Usual Suspects" with a couple Star Wars themes in there. There's also an original composition, "Four Blank Walls" that I was intending to use as end credits for a short film that ended up not getting made. Ah well.

As well as just instrumental re-workings, I did a remix of Nas' "Made You Look" last year, right around the time the Kill Bill Trailer first hit. Guess which guitar riff and horn blast I chopped up to throw behind Nas' rhymes..

I also have my concert edit of "The Requiem Overture" as it was used in the Two Towers trailer. There were primarily 2 edits of this music that were loosed on the fileshares and tolkien website--mine was the lesser downloaded of the two--but I think it's the BETTER of the two. It's mixed with the original Kronos Quartet recording from the "Requiem" soundtrack for an intro.l

Anyway, feel free to click and download, lemme know what you think, and I hope you enjoy.

Whoops. Found out the link to "The Two Towers" was accidentally linking to the mp3 that precedes it on the list. Should be fixed soon.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Sorry,

Thats pretty neat stuff Fatboy. I like the Kill Bill remix you did. What did you use to create all of these?

If you ever need any guitar work done let me know. I know all the Star Wars motifs (of course) so if you ever want to do another Star Wars one I can help you out if you need something done. So if you ever need a riff done so you can use it in a loop or what ever I can help you there. Of course I realise that you like to use the films scores themselves.

Thanks for the link and the free download. It was pretty entertaining stuff.
