"TOO LATE!!!"
See, this is what the original trilogy has over the prequels. Likeable, handsome secondary characters like Moff Jerjerrod.

General Veers owns Jerjerrod. He didn't get blown up by some Jap suicide A-wing.

"Target! Maximum firepower!"

"Jesus, Eddie, if you needed money that badly why didn't you come to me?"

When he sneers he looks like the Simpsons character Snake.

I especially like when Admiral Piatt does that haughty head bob when Vader requests him after he loses the falcon.

Jerjerrod didn't give the 'too late,' line, he was on the Death Star II. He's the one who said 'Fire...FIRE!' in a preformance that was unmatched in it's ferocity until Gary Oldman in The Professional.

His "I need more men..." has always prompted one of us chuckleheads watching to start singing 'It's rainin' men!' or a simple 'Yo go girl!'

In fact, there's a whole bunch of cut stuff involving him being attacked by the Red Imperial Guards, and his desire to destroy the Endor Moon in a 'Ye Haw, let's take 'em all with us!' blaze of glory.

On another note, I met Dick LePerimeter, aka Motti, at my comic book shop last November. He was here in down to take his son to Disney world, and did the autograph thing for some fun money. He was a real affable, down to earth guy. He claims he had a great 'Interrogation Scene back at headquarters' in WFRR that was cut. He also didn't have much love for Bob Hochkins.

Also, he has a decent sense of humor. Here's a scan of his autograph.

Motti!

195. INT WALKER NO. 1 - COCKPIT

CLOSE-UP VEERS inside Walker No. 1 cockpit. He speaks over the com-link as he studies various readouts.

VEERS
... yes, Lord Vader. I've reached the main power generators and I'm destroying them now. The shield will be down in moments. You may start your landing...

PILOT
Look out!

Veers looks out the cockpit window.

196. EXT BATTLEFIELD - HOTH

FULL SHOT of Hobbie's speeder, Rogue Four, as it races over camera right at the head of the oncoming walker.

197. INT WALKER NO. 1 - COCKPIT

OVER THE SHOULDER of Veers and his pilots as the speeder crashes into the front window.

PILOT
He's going to...

Impact, huge explosion.

198. EXT BATTLEFIELD - HOTH

FULL SHOT of Walker No. 1 with head exploding and frying into a million pieces.

199. EXT BATTLEFIELD - HOTH

FULL SHOT Walker No. 1. After a few moments the headless walker topples over on its side in a cloud of snow.

We never saw Veers again. Now you know why.

Yeah, that was Admiral Piett. Know your Imperial Personnel, dammit.
No, it wasn't Admiral Piett. He has some guy next to him that screams "Too late!" who as far as I know doesn't have a name. I've checked the Decipher CCG card lists and I can't seem to find a card for him. It's not Jerjerrod or Piett, it's some other officer.

I remember reading some insane fansite that speculated that those two imperials who dive for cover after the A-Wing crashes through, they speculate that they landed inside an escape pod and escaped the explosion. roFFLES.

I danced with one of the Imperial Officers in ANH at a wedding last year.

Was it the MACARENA?
Alas, no. It was some seventies/sixties hokum that the December groom had chosen. The May bride was not consulted, or perhaps expressed no opinion.
