Good, glad someone out there is looking forward to it. This is a truly fucked up movie and I'm so glad they're giving it an SE treatment.

That movie sounds sick and twisted. The review though had me at "Tex Avery on high grade PCP".

I'm glad the film is coming out in the US as well and I'll definitely buy the US version instead of the rather bare bones Dutch release. I'm immensely thrilled that a Japanese genre film gets so much special feature love! Way too many of these films come out in movie only releases that just piss me off. Sure, even the Japanese DVDs often have little more than a trailer but these films deserve so much more love and attention give to them. Movies like UZUMAKI (there's a commentary on the Japanese disc so why won't somebody subtitle that???), TETSUO 2 (again commentary on the Japanese disc) would have needed Anchor Bay-esque treatments. Good to hear there's finally a company out there who will go the extra mile for Asian genre movie discs!

And ironically (or maybe not so ironically...) it's being run by a former producer from Anchor Bay...

With Subversive and the other new kids on the block, Arts Magic, hopefully this trend of feature-packed Asian releases will keep going. Especially when you consider the massive releases some of these movies get in their home country, there's no reason they can't get that kind of love here.
