of course, some of these straddle the line between horror and other genres.

I've seen plenty of horror films, but I think this list proves that I've probably been watching all the crap (ex. I've seen all FRIDAY THE 13TH, HALLOWEEN and NIGHTMARE films).

What's your horror must-see list?

Wait a sec...I'm not sure from your comments what you mean by "must-see." Are these horror films that you have yet to see or ones that you feel are classics and that everyone must see?
Hmm, films that I've been meaning to see would include:

The Dead Don't Die
Horror Hospital
Devil's Rain
Soft For Digging
Night of the Comet

I've seen most of the others that I really want to. Not all, but most.

I meant ones that I've been meaning to see.
Ah, that's what I thought. Most of mine are pretty obscure, and there are some I saw many years ago but very much want to revisit due to hazy childhood memory. I've got a constantly rotating list, but here goes:

THE POSSESSION OF JOEL DELANEY
DEATH WEEKEND
BLOOD RELATIVES
THE EXTERMINATING ANGEL
DEAD OF NIGHT (the Dan Curtis television movie)
CURTAINS
UZUMAKI (Yes, I know, EVERYONE else has seen it already)
DARK WATER
FUNERAL HOME
DEATH BED: THE BED THAT EATS
DERANGED
DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW
THE LITTLE GIRL WHO LIVES DOWN THE LANE
ALICE, SWEET ALICE
SIMON, KING OF THE WITCHES
HORROR EXPRESS
ALUCARDA
GHOSTKEEPER
JUST BEFORE DAWN
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO SOLANGE?
WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOUR DAUGHTERS?
SHRIEK OF THE MUTILATED
FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET (the only Argento flick I've never seen)
MASSACRE AT CENTRAL HIGH
DEATHMASTER

and my number one must-see, above all others is...

ABBY

I'm way to tired to even think about writing my must see list down But I gotta say Messiah, I've brought this movie up before in some threads and it is just awesome. A truly one-of-a-kind kind of flick. I just wish I had a better copy than the beaten up VHS one I have.
Yeah, Vitus -- it's one of those films I only caught bits and pieces of when it occasionally aired on cable channels back in the 80s but have never seen in its entirety. What little I recall was utterly entrancing. I'll probably see if I can snag it off ebay sometime in the near future. I've seen so much now that I'm slowly working my way through all the super-obscure titles that I've wanted to watch over the years, and this one is definitely high on the main list.
Let's see here... There are lots...

Ghostwatch
Save The Green Planet
[Straddles the genre I've heard]
Ju-On
[TV and theatrical]
Ring 2 [Japanese, not the upcoming remake]
Let's Scare Jessica to Death
August Underground
Tourist Trap
The Beyond
House by the Cemetery
Darkness
The Nameless
Dead and Buried
Suicide Circle
Kakashi
Kwaidan
A Tale of Two Sisters
Tomie
[series]

Ohhh, I know there's more and I might just have to amend this list later, that's all I can think of off the top of my head though.

The Haunting (1963)
Right now (like, in the next 2 weeks):
SHAUN OF THE DEAD
BLACK CHRISTMAS
THE BURNING

Btw SAVE THE GREEN PLANET has very little to do with horror, but it rocks nonetheless!!
Eraserhead is basicaly a movie about a young couple with a severly disabled child and the hardships they encounter while trying to make a life for themselves

I NEED TO OWN ZOMBIES vs MARDI GRAS!!!!

wonder where I could find that one????
AZTEC MUMMY VS WRESTLING WOMEN. Not sure it's the exact title, but it sure sounds interesting.

Your Horror Must See List

Films by Luis Bunuel and Salvidor Dali (for the disturbing imagery)
All of Fulci's films
more Argento films (I've just seen Suspiria)
The Company of Wolves
Prince of Darkness
Kairo (Pulse)
more Japanese horror movies- I can't even began to list them all
Irreversible
Cannibal Ferox/ Cannibal Holocust ( out of curiousity- still deciding to rent these titles since I know they have them at a local vid store)
Evil Dead 2 - I haven't scene this film out of sheer laziness, I watched the Evil Dead and loved it, don't know why I haven't watched 2 yet.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari- bought the DVD for $2.99 and still haven't watched (even though I know how influential it is).

Last but not least - some Giallo films, if I can just get my hand on a Mario Bava film- I'd be happy.

I'm not even sure David Lynch can give you the plot!!

It's apparantly got something to do with the birth of his daughter, and how he felt during the time, before and after her birth...No wonder 'Boxing Helena' is unwatchable, it's REVENGE!!!

or, from IMDB...

"Is it a nightmare or an actual view of a post-apocalyptic world? Set in an industrial town in which giant machines are constantly working, spewing smoke, and making noise that is inescapable, Henry Spencer lives in a building that, like all the others, appears to be abandoned. The lights flicker on and off, he has bowls of water in his dresser drawers, and for his only diversion he watches and listens to the Lady in the Radiator sing about finding happiness in heaven. Henry has a girlfriend, Mary X, who has frequent spastic fits. Mary gives birth to Henry's child, a frightening looking mutant, which leads to the injection of all sorts of sexual imagery into the depressive and chaotic mix."

Best I could do...

This film is just a masterpiece. Oh yeah, Brooke Shields plays the little girl. I think she made this just before making Pretty Baby.

If you want to watch a great thriller, check this one out. If you have A.D.D. or can't handle watching old films, then it ain't for you and you should probably go rent the latest Will Ferrell comedy or something...
