hi chudsters, can anyone give me any info on the following two movies.
HAROLD AND MAUDE. All i know about this one is its about people who habitually go to other peoples funerals.
BAD BOY BANNER or BIG BABY BANNER or something like that. I believe this one is an aussie movie about a boy that is never let out of his house by his crazy mother, who eventually dies, and the boy believes that the air is poison. Any info other than what i already know would be greatly appreciated

Info on where to find them or info on what they are about.

Harold and Maude is much much more than people going to funerals. It was a huge indie sensation when I was a kid. It's about living life but, at the same time, not fearing death. Although funny (Bud Corts fake suicides and his relationship with his mother and her attempts to find a woman for him are some of the funniest stuff ever) it is also quite touching. Pre-Islam Cat Stevens music was a real draw. I think it's worth seeing but it's not a horror film in any sense, especially if you are the type of person who feels at odds with the world and it's expectations of you (basically everybody I would imagine).

saw it on the big screen a year ago, a very touching film - sometimes shocking but it is not really a horror film.

the performances from the two are great. such a difference from Ruth Gordon's role in Rosemary's baby.

Watch it and be surprised

Eskimo is right - you're thinking of Bad Boy Bubby. It's an Aussie arthouse piece and one of the few movies I've considered walking out on.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS:

Cons: Bubby's obese mother makes him fuck her.

Pros: When he kills his mother and leaves home, a horny charity worker picks him up, takes him home and talks religion while making Bubby go down on her.

Proceed at your own risk.

I quite liked Bad Boy Bubby. It's a very interesting picture. There are actually about 25 DP's credited on it, as each scene was shot by a different guy to achieve director Rolf de Heer's desire for a different feel as each scene played out (cue "that's why it was a mess!" argument). Innovative and pretty well done.

If you've ever seen Jack Be Nimble or ...Bubby director Rolf de Heer's Encounter At Raven's Gate, you'll know the way it's made and the way the subject matter is handled is highly stylised and very much "of a style". It's deeply seated in the experimental Australian New Wave of filmmaking that spawned Fred Shepisi and Peter Wier.

Seriously, be an individual and check it out.

Definitely see Harold and Maude. Probably the best "Feel Good" movie ever made. Or at least the best "feel good" movie for horror fans.
