Boggy Creek 2 The Legend Continues...

Thread Starter
Today my Mum got me round to hook up her new DVD player, (what is it with Mum's and technology?) some budget thing that came with 30 DVDs. You know the films that starred big names like Dolph Lundgren before they were big and among of bunch of horror films was this gem, Boggy Creek 2 The Legend Continues.

It's hard to describe, part nature flick, wee bit monster movie but claims to 'a fascinating into the wild, weird realms of the unknown!'

Anyone seen the first one? Sounds like Foywonder's type of film.

Not only have I seen the Legend of Boggy Creek, I've read the movie tie-in book. That I found in a jail library. In Maine.

OK, now that that's out of the way, I didn't know a sequel existed but I guess I have to see it. Apparently the original was supposed to be based on a true story.

Speaking of Foywonder's oevre, I spent part of Saturday watching killer bee movies on some crazy cable channel. I didn't know there were so many movies about killer bees. One of them starred Gina Phillips and a young Ryan Phillippe. Another one had Rutger Hauer as the bad guy's insane rogue scientist. Good times.

One of the best Mystery Science Theater movies ever. Do yourselves a favor and track down a copy. Old Man Crenshaw has magnificent breasts.

Yep, I've seen it. Really bad movie but it made for a hilarious MST3K episode. Still, it's a lot better than the other BOGGY CREEK sequel RETURN TO BOGGY CREEK where Dana Plato gets rescued from a flood by the Boggy Creek Monster while Dawn Wells stands around looking all concerned.

It's really ironic you bring that up because I'm planning a special Foyeurism for later this year devoted to "Beesploitation" movies. If you really want to see a ridiculous killer bee movie than hunt down a copy of THE BEES with John Saxon and John Carradine battling intelligent killer bees plotting to take over the world.

I sense there's a lot more to this story but I'm afraid to ask.

And that's why you're a hero to many (including me). Have you seen Invasion of the Bee Girls? It's a masterpiece.

Believe it or not, no. But I will be soon. I recently acquired a double feature dvd of INVASION OF THE BEE GIRLS and THE AMAZING TWO HEADED TRANSPLANT so I will finally get a chance to see BEE GIRLS with my own eyes.

Something just dawned on me. This whole thread started because they got a DVD of BOGGY CREEK 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES. This means someone actually released BOGGY CREEK 2 on DVD. I must find one!

I saw it in one of those cheap book shops for about 2 quid.

I almost picked it up, but I'm not that desperate for new DVDs. Well, I am, but ones that are good.

I swear I've seen Boggy Creek 2 on DVD. My girlie picked up the original Boggy Creek for me on DVD at Wal Mart of all places, $5.

Oh, and the crappy bee movie they're referencing is 'Flying Virus'. Watched the ads for it on the last episodes of Mad Mad House and wow, it looks bad even compared to other SciFi movies.

I suspect you're thinking of the original BOGGY CREEK.

But I want the legend to continue, dammit!

I think we're overdue for a new Boggy Creek Monster movie. I want to make the next one just so I can call it...

Yeah, see, that's the thing, I HAVE the original. I'm guessing maybe I saw a different pressing/cover of the original and didn't stop to look at it, considering I was already familiar with it's awfulness from MST3K.

I'd like to volunteer to recap the role of the hairy redneck who hid the 'little creature'. I'm hairy, and I say 'cuzzin' real good like.
