Of the two Sportscenter pre-shows, which do you like best?

I'm a PTI man, myself. Cornheiser and Wilbon's high speed, engaging back and forth is much more compelling that Round the Horn.

Dude, AROUND THE HORN is weak. What a lame concept,a talk show game show hybrid with sports. Everyone is desperate for the limelight on that show, there is no wit to gleam from it.

around the horn is mildly entertaining, but it's pretty forced from the host on down. even when the pti guys appear to be debating for the sake of debating, you can at least appreciate their intelligence and good sense of humor.

Sadly, I liked Horn better with Max Kellerman. Though PTI is still better. I think the little bit of tension between Korny and Wilbon is actually there at times, which makes it even better.

PTI is far and away better. The best show on ESPN. Ever.

PTI is better by far. I mean, it's a skinny white dude VS. a not-so-skinny black dude. What's not to love? As much as they argue on air, though, I hear off camera they are actually good friends.

Around the Horn was my favorite show on TV when Max Kellerman was the host. Yeah I am a sports rube.

Tony Reali though...good lord what a moron. Show me my motto? Its from a freakin sprite commercial, not something you should be saying on your TV show all the time.

And yes, Woody Paige is the best reporter on the show. His malapropisms are classic.

PTI is really smartly done, granted some of their '5 good minutes' segments are snore inducing, but you just flip over to Jeopardy for 5 minutes and you are set.

oh and WTF!!! I thought Wilbon was joking when he said Tony was away overseeing something about the sitcom based on his life...but its for REAL!

Jason Alexander is playing Kornheiser, and Malcolm Jamal Warner (theo!) is playing Wilbon, its called LISTEN UP! and will be on CBS or something this coming fall...WTF, really...

I would just like say that I'm Back For More Cash is fantastic. PTI = greatest 22 min. of sports ever. a sitcom about Kornheiser? somebody will fuck it up... and Alexander? I guess Kornheiser if very Costanza-ish, which is good for Alexander... but still, somebody will ruin it. I just know it.

That sounds interesting, I might actually tune into CBS this fall. As for PTI v ATH, it's not even close. The topics on PTI are a lot more interesting. ATH is usually pretty uninteresting, too many pop culture topics. Wilbon and Kornheiser have more sports knowledge in their big toes than anyone on ATH does. And Kellerman? I'm glad he's off ESPN. He's an obnoxious little imp.

PTI is the best sports show outside The Sports Reporters and Around the Horn is just average. I would watch PTI over most shows on TV.

*whispers* PTI.....

I do not understand the hate some people have for Kornheiser. I think he is the glue that holds that show together. He is sorely missed on the Radio.

I hadn't caught Around the Horn in about two weeks until I caught today's show. Now, I think Kellerman was okay at best and his new show is essentially ATH on Fox, but the Dream Job guy they got makes Tony Reali look decent...

PTI is by far the best show on ESPN. It's obvious that Kornheiser and Wilbon are good friends (it doesn't hurt that they've worked together for 20 years), and I hope that Alexander and Jamal-Warner can capture some of that.
