The Jetsons - Season 1

Finally, someone else understands my pain. I've never watched the show much as a kid, mostly because I found it as boring as the Flintstones, and it seems to suffer from the same problems. I pitty the kid who gets this from their parent thinking that they will enjoy it, especially considering the amound of GOOD animation there is available nowadays.

Good review, you seem to think the same ways as I did while watching the Flintstones.

I'm glad to see this got properly hated. Wretched fuckin' cartoon, if you ask me. Good review, and the Fear and Loathing caption cracked me up.

I guess I'm the only fan of the show?

I think it's the laugh track that kills both this and the Flintstones for me. The shows share the most wildly enthusiastic laugh track in the history of television, and I hate it. When your comedy is this low-key and predictable (BARNEY: "Look at all those rocks!" FRED: "The only rocks I see are the ones in your head!"), giving every single joke and punchline a six second bout of rioutous laughter just calls attention the fact that the jokes really, REALLY isn't working.

Without the laugh track, they would just be rather dull, ugly little shows. But with the laugh track, they become pure, unadulterated HATE.

thanks guys for some of the feedback.

seems I got another group of fans not happy with me, in addition to the Notting Hillites and Power Ranger junkies...

I don't know what your problem is. The jetsons are a wholesome family, with great ideals, and the humor is why I keep watching it. As for your comments on the adorable Janet Waldo, that is mean and I hope someone duct tapes you.

And why wasn't there a swear word warning on the top of the page?
I didn't go into the show wanting to hate it. As I stated I was a Jetson virgin. The more and more I watched though nothing really stood out that was worth loving or praising.

As for swearing. I did my best to keep it toned the fuck down. Only when it applied caps wise did I let go.

Clearly you hate America and hate the idea of the American family. You dirty Canadian, get out of our country!

I like the Jetsons but I think it's more for nostalgia than anything else. I remember sitting on my grandmas couch watching the Flintstones and the Jetsons enjoying a Nestle Crunch ice cream bar.

I hope your real life is improving since you wrote that review, mongy.
