Worst Werewolf Effects - Page 2

I have to disagree on Harry Potter. It was too skinny and hairless. It really didn't seem as mean and intimidating as I would have liked to have seen. True, it was a pg-13 movie for kids, but the dog was scarier. That being said, Buckbeak was incredible. I would second that nomination of best CGI creature ever.

Worst werewolf full stop... the poodle at the end of the howling.. great great film, but that made me laugh when i shouldn't have been laughing...

Ah C’mon peeps it really doesn’t get any worse than DarkWolf .

Even the Werepoodle at the end of the Howling is no match for the atrocity that is DarkWolf.

And if anyone says that Brotherhood is not a good movie, well, I’ll be forced to nail your tits to the table.

I loved the Harry Potter Werewolf design..bold, perverse, yet somehow eerily archaic, like something form an old woodcut...and I loved the werewolf slide show Snape showed

Hah, check out Tomb of the Werewolf. The transformation scene had me rolling on the floor. Either the movie is so new its not on IMDB, or it was so low budget it went below the radar. Either way it seems to have some ex-porno people in it, and by far the worst werewolf effects I've ever seen.

And Brotherhood of the Wolf was a great movie.

Speaking of werewolf movies, am I the only one out there that actually liked Jack Nicholson's "Wolf"?

You know what? Didn't like it in the theatre at all, now I really like it and have it on DVD. buuuutt, speaking of bad werewolf designs, the very, very very last shot of "Wolf" is so fucking horrible and fake that it almost ruins the movie.

Kinda like the end of The Howling? With that cute little white weredog.

Does anyone else think that werewolves should, you know, look like wolves? At least you could say that about the Van Houten wolf men. The were-Lupin was different, all right, but "different" is not congruent to "good" necessarily.

On topic, American Werewolf in Paris. Worst.

I completely forgot about the werewolf poodle at the end of Howling. This one gets my vote.

I should show this werewolf to my son next time he is afraid of the beast. My mom told him a story about a werewolf (dumb idea ), for week he was afraid.

I don't know, the cute Dee Wallace Stone werewolf never really bothered me.

I thought the mom from My Mom Is A Werewolf was HOT!

This is off topic, but since this thread deals with werewolf effects, I thought I'd ask anyway:

Is there any way for a performer to see once they're inside the wolf suit?

On the Underworld Behind-the-scenes, the actor had the werewolf appliance right over his face. I thought the only time he could see is when the mouth opens, but I'm not really sure.

That quivery little rat/muppet at the end of the Howling gets my vote. What the fuck WAS that?

Forgetting the season four Buffy wolf. Oz was an awesome character but that wolf suit
was terrible, even by low budget standards. They totally made up for it in angel season
five though.

I have to nominate the scene in Underworld with the Lycans running along the walls as the worst werewolf scene.
