Actually, I knew I was a child of the '80's when all of these new "Transformers" shows came out. I watched the first episode of them, said, "Boy, these suck compared to the original series," and never watched them again.

-Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas (1977) was something you were excited about seeing again.

-You were an avid watcher of Hill Street Blues and the Cosby Show.

-You loved Duran Duran and were a 'Durannie', peppering your walls with their posters and having masturbatory fantasies involving Roger Taylor (the drummer). That goes the same for Siouxsie Sioux, Nina Hagen, and some of the members of Depeche Mode.

-You remember the show 'Square Pegs'..and loathed it.

-You caught the movie 'Gregory's Girl' and thought it was pretty cool.

You sing the Spiderman theme song to your kid...only it's not the one from the '60s cartoon, but the one from his live-action segment on "The Electric Company."

Spiderman! Where are you coming from Spiderman? Nobody knows who you are!!

Maybe that makes me a child of the 70s...

I kind of straddle that line.
