Is this real softball or the 12 inch hardball?

Nick is the Ichiro of softball.

Nick, that one strikeout - did you go down swinging or take a pitch? Just wondering.

Sounds like you guys are having a blast. Wish I was there.

Fouled out. It's misleading. You start with a 1-1 count. I was adamant about going to right field, and the spin the guy had on his pitches murdered me.

More like Marcus Giles. You guys should see Brian Hampton play. He hits home runs that go over the fence, go over grass after the fence, the street past the grass, and deep into the trees after the street.

To re-iterate. I did not STRIKE out. I fouled out. Granted, it was still embarrassing as I had three easy opportunities to at least deliver a sac fly.

I've got TWO foul outs in my league. The last one was last week. If the game goes too long, we go to a 2-2 count to speed things up. I forgot that we were at 2-2, and I fouled down the leftfield line on the first pitch. It goes in the book as a K.

Here's our Friday night team. Pay special attention to Steve Murphy's numbers.

Good christ, you guys must be killing all who come into your path.

Team's 2-2 and declining. We don't keep the stats of our enemies. If we did we'd see that our pitcher intentionally walked in 3 runs and then gave up grand slams to 2 of the 3 people he pitched to after intentionally walking the bases loaded to get to them.

FOOL.

You son of a bitch.

It is my intention to finish the year batting an even .100. That would make me slightly LESS valuable than a current Ray Charles.

Nick, you're slipping a little bit. Guess you're just getting comfortable, right?

.604 ain't bad. This is after 9 games. I haven't hit a triple in a while, though. They're all on a line but either to short right or short left. I've noticed when I uppercut it with the new bat (Synergy 2) I don't get the pop I do with my normal bat (Orange Crush).

I'm happy with the stats, though.

We need Brian Hampton on our team.

As would I, if I were actually playing.
