Here's the funny thing, because I know he's still looking:

When he PMed me, I thought it was silly but I was going to comply and delete all of his shit. But because I didn't move fast enough for him, he sent another PM threatening to start trolling. I read that PM just as I was logging in to delete his shit. 'Twas the only reason I blocked his access to the login. Prior to that, I never noticed him or gave a damn.

All he had to do was wait a couple of minutes, and his tantrum drama could've been avoided. Now, he straight went out like a bitch.

Slewfoot and I got along and were friends to a certain extent, but he was way off base with that last thread.

As I've said before, I've clogged these boards up with a fair share of my nonsense, but when Nick made it clear that he had had enough of said actions, I decided to make an effort to try and change my behavior (whether or not I have changed at all could be debateable to some, but in my mind I'm trying).

The rules of the boards aren't changing so if you want to stay than YOU need to change.

And if you want to leave, don't be an Elizabeth Taylor-esque diva and get all fussy over it. Just leave.

It is really strange and kinda fascinating and creepy why people would choose to do that. I mean, I'm sure some people on chud have threads where they reply to themselves as different posters.

The problem as I see it, and as I said in the previous thread that got deleted, is this whole drama queen act that people are so willing to put on.

There's no reason to make a fuss when you leave other than to draw attention to yourself. There's no reason to ask for yourself to be "erased" from the board, other than to draw attention to yourself. There's no reason to keep posting at a board you're unhappy with other than to draw attention to yourself. There's no reason to say things like "for fear of banning" or "I'll probably get banned for this" other than to say "HEY, LOOK AT ME, I'M SAYING SOMETHING NOW!"

Turn the computer off. Read a book. Watch a movie. Walk the dog. Hell, masturbate vigorously to photographs of the Queen Mum. It'd be more productive than this tired bullshit.

A request was made and for whatever reason, maybe a miscommunication (who knows), things progressed to another level. I am dismayed to see Jess want to leave. He was a contributing member to this board and his reasons for having all traces of his existence wiped from the board were exactly that; his reasons.

It's really stupid to care about all of this. It's idiotic to let yourself get so worked up over screen names and text that you feel like you have to have your very existence burned from the pages of history. Just leave if you're going to leave. When I think back to the "Kiteless/Purpled Hazed" period, I remember how embroiled in that I was, and now that I've grown a little bit here on the boards, that sort of stuff just doesn't even register on my radar anymore. I've seen people talk of certain members just going apeshit and wanting to go out in a flaming ball, but I guess I'm either ignorant of it, or I'm just so accustomed to this sort of thing that it doesn't bother me at all.

Some chewers think they have to be the center of it all, and unfortunatly we don't have a shortage of them here. But when looking at other message boards around the 'net, I think we're ahead of the pack. The MB here is just an extension of the main site, which is what drew me here in the first place. I look forward to the Steady Leaks, the THUD, even the horrible puns used by Eileen in her screen caps. I do miss the hardcore Piss and Vinager, but I'll take what I can get.

That being said, why isn't there a mod for night-time trolls? I've seen a few pop up and they need to be smacked down before they populate.

Nobody. It's a fucking MESSAGE BOARD. It's Nick's message board, and he can do what the fuck he wants with it. Don't like it? Don't post. Your democratic rights are unaffected.

Compared to most other message boards, this is one of the most lenient sites I've ever seen. Remember Warren Ellis' old message board? He'd ban people for shits and giggles. AICN bans people at the drop of a hat. This is an oasis of forgiveness by comparison.

I remember when I first started posting here, Nick sent an E-mail saying I was posting too many threads and it was pushing other threads to the bottom of the board, I didn't bitch or moan, I took his advice. It's Nick's board and his site, I think it's just common courtesy to abide by his rules and behave, he's not a dictator, you respect Nick and you'll be welcome here. You don't respect him and you'll be banned, simple as that.

I couldn't think of a better thread title for the list of banned people than this. SO this is it. This thread is ofiically now just for listing those individuals.

Also, the default reason for any of these people being banned is that they're indeed...stupid assholes. If they leave for any other reason, I'll list it at the time. If you're voluntarily leaving, then just leave. Don't PM or e-mail, Nick, Dave, or myself.
