Excellent. I'll be lurking around doing press stuff too...
I'll be there, and I am so excited I can hardly wait. I keep looking at all the events and am really torn between the Dead and Breakfast viewing and Intimate and Interactive with Tom Savini........Tom will probably win out though.....decisions decisions!

I'll be there, and be by my lonsome on Friday but sat and sunday will have my friend with me

I don't even get off work till 3pm, so I won't get to Toronto until about 5pm, which sucks... Look for a short chunky bald guy with big ass piercings, also running around taking pictures for press related stuff. Here's an older photo, but I may be donning a scar on my right cheek from a bike accident last weekend.

Count me in. I'm working in the Screaming Room, so everyone be sure to drop by and say hi. And if I can grow a social skill by this friday, I'll probably say hi right back. And maybe give you a back rub.

that sucks that you have to work, I got the day off and may go downtown toronto for the whole day and bum around doing various things, who knows

Looks like a wet weekend weather-wise, so dress accordingly.
What's the general temp going to be like?
Pretty warm, actually, with a fair amount of rain. IIRC the convention centre isn't air conditioned, so it should be pretty warm in there as well.

Of course, you know the weather broadcasts...

It's been pretty shitty here for the last few days, mostly just scattered showers. It's not really a dry heat, but the humidex is unbearable at times. Bring lots of deodorant, for we all shall be stinky bastards by the end of the night.

I'm thinking of going naked -- now that would be truly terrifying.

It sucks beyond belief, but I still gotta pay the bills. I'm thinking about getting another tat done while I'm there, I really like Planet Ink located on King & Wellesley. I had my labret pierced there a few years ago, and last month I had another tat inked on my back. They are pretty decent people there, I don't mind giving them my hard earned cash to scar my tender body.

Oh yeah, and there is that shitty video store located on Edward and Young. I bought a copy of Stray Dogs there, and when I took it home it looked like someone took a bite out of it. Good thing I keep receipts.

And there is some horror convention thingy supposedly taking place....

King & Wellesley? Sure you don't mean Yonge & Wellesley?

(In case any other Chewers wanna grab a tat while they're in town.)

Wow, what a weekend so far. Here's the bare bones:

Friday
Watched "Dead & Breakfast" - Easily one of the best films I've seen this year
Meet up with Ryan Rotton, who is one of the coolest guys anyone will ever meet
Went to the private party and drank beer with Doug Bradley
Got Ryan to buy me a beer

Saturday
Watched the most awful films I've seen in years -- "Bite Me"
Talked with George A. Romero
Went to the after party where Tom Savini hosted a zombie make-up contest
Saw a shitty band who literally cleared out the bar
Went downstairs and bitched about movies with Ryan & Matt (Director of Dead & Breakfast)
Met up with some guy stoned out of his mind, who then took many pictures of my ugly mug for some reason

More to come...

wow, what a long weekend.

Friday
started off on friday just hanging around the show room floor, I didn't go to any of the Q & A's or movies since I was waiting for my friend to come into town from between 7 & 8 so didn't really see much on friday

did get some DVD's though (off the top of my head on friday I got)
Undead
Friday the 13th (uncut)
Monster Squad
Star Wars trillogy (original theatrical versions with 5.1 sound and widescreen)
Dark Water

saterday I went to see ginger snaps 3 which was very good (not as good as the first 2 but still good) went the the George Romero Q & A which was good. Saw Nosferatu with a live score by Nash the Slash which was definatly cool.
then went to a party at this bar which was cool it had a zombie contest judged by Tom Savini, Doug Bradly (pinhead), Andrew Byranski or somethin (can't recall his last name but he played leather face in the new texas chainsaw movie) lloyd kaufman showed up at the show AND the party which was fun.

my friend and I left the party before the band came on (we heard they where shitty anyways) and got a little sleep.

sunday again went to the showroom to look around but then went to the Q & A's for Doug Bradly (he's one funny fuck) and Kane Hodder, you can really see Kane's love for Jason when he talks about him, I found him trying to be funny but him telling us that he killed people to prove he played Jason was only kinda funny the first time.

then went back to the showroom and picked up some more DVDs
Halloween 666 (producers cut)
Fantastic 4 (this one's fucking funny an early 90's film that was never released so they could make a big buddget version)
Class of nuke'm high 2
and one other that I forget (stupid memory)

oh and I picked up the newest issue of Rue Morgue's mag and from what I've read its really good.

meet a few of the corner crew and it was overall a great show

I'll be there next year

Urge to kill...rising...RISING...

Hey, when you get to watch them, Debz, give us a review of Halloween 666 and the Friday the 13th uncut, eh?
watched part of friday the 13th but fell asleep the begining is longer, its actually the same as the tv version I saw years ago and the killing of kevin bacon is longer as well, I have to re-watch it then watch the original version to tell all the differences.

with halloween 666 (producers cut) I just hope its a passible movie cause I hate the first version.....so I really don't know why I got it....I guess I was curious.

the other movie I got that I said I forgot was The Eye 2, how could I forget that?? I don't know
