Can a ps2/xbox be connected to a comp monitor?

I have an ati 8500LE vid card, and was curious if a ps2 or xbox could be connected to a computer monitor.

If it could be done I'm not sure if I would simply plug it into the back of the vid card.

Any help or feedback would be appreciated.....

Actually I just purchased an adapter from x2vga.com It's just for the XBOX but it'll make your games play in HDTV resolutions if the game supports it. It's expensive ($77) plus shipping, but it's the best out there.
