LOVE, its what Privateer 2 should have been.

Just finished the first mission and did a couple of jobs but those god damn rouges are up my ass already. Whats the deal with those guys? Way to many to early in the game.

You get used to dealing with them as the game progressess. They're hardly the toughest opponents you'll face. Be sure to upgrade your ship at every opportunity, and if you happen to find anything that some fool left lying around in a nebula or a debris field for no readily apparent reason, be sure to take advantage of that fact.

Fun game.

I liked this well enough, but never finished it. Screw mouse control for flying games. Screw no cockpit interior. Screw not being able to stay away from the main storyline as long as you want.

Still, space sims are few and far between these days. Am I the only one who thinks we need a next-gen Wing Commander or X-Wing sim?

I was just about to ask if this was the one where you could fly almost entirely with the mouse. I thought that was a fucking brilliant control scheme.

I have no problem with mouse control being an option, but not including joystick support as well was moronic.

Hell, Microsoft sells joysticks. You'd think they'd like their software to be compatible with their own hardware.

While being very repetitive, the game was quite entertaining. Especially those long travel routes between planets were relaxing.
