Spider-Man 2 - Page 4

Actually, yeah, that does make me feel a little better. Maybe there was a part of me that wouldn't try it cuz it would just be wrong to do that to a thug. Nah, never mind.

Sure you can. If you've bought the piledriver, you can do it. When you're holding a thug, you can start at ground level at the empire state building, and just webswing(or more so, swing jump) in a circle around the empire state using only the empire state for an anchor. This is the simplest, bare bones way of doing it. I do believe that you have to be using normal swinging. Have you seen it done yet?

Thanks for the advice on getting to the Statue, and you're right, it is pointless. I did it the other night and got there...then had nothing to do and was really bored. AND I couldn't get back...

But that Mysterio fight is a fucking PAIN IN THE ASS.

fighting Doc Ock, Calypso, Rhino, and Shocker at once is insane, beat Rhino first and beware Calypsos mind shove. What a bitch.

I'm having a hell of a time with Doc Ock on the L-train. Slater? Otisthecat? A little help here?
Use spidey sense to slow time, then use your dodge move when he strikes at you with a tentacle. IMMEDIATELY after dodging, hit the web button to web the tentacle to the roof of the train. Repeat this with all four tentacles, and then pummel on him once he's helpless. If you run out of spidey sense, swing alongside the train doing flips to build it back up. Once you get the dodge-web attack rhythm down, he's really easy to beat.

You're a prince, Slater. If I had loads of disposable income I'd buy you that Jaws tooth you've been eyeing.

Couple of quick questions for fellow Spidey-players:

1) How do you hang people from lamp-posts? I've been trying the X, X, Y, A combo but it doesn't do shit!

2) Any tips on how to find secret hideouts?

First you have buy it, then you can do it the way you listed it (in that combo), or while you're holding the thug, you can just start slamming them multiple times by repeatedly pressing Y (again, if you've already purchased the slam), then hit A to hang them up. Of course you have to be somewhere near a traffic light, lamp post, etc to hang the opponent on, otherwise, after Spidey finishes slamming, he'll just jump.

And secret hideouts are actually illuminated on the map in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Unlike the normal greens and blues of the rest of the city, hideouts are a light pink when they're empty and a dark red when they're occupied.

Spidey sense makes the Ock battle really easy, but you can do it without it. One of the best things to buy are the two air combo upgrades, I think you can take Ock down with just two (maybe three) attacks. It also makes the Statue of Liberty battle just a little less frustrating.

Air combos are oh, so sweet.

Thanks, Otis. I got all kinds of upgrades and I only use maybe four of them. I took yours and Slater's advice and took him out in two attacks. Now that I know the secret, Ock turned out to be a freakin' pansy. Now if I could only hit all those damn buttons in his warehouse...

I've found 34 of the 37 hideout tokens. This game is hating me.

I started with the one under the floor, then did the one high up on the ceiling, the rest aren't bad if you use your Spidey sense at the right time.

For anybody on the fence about buying this game, Target has it on sale until Saturday for $37.88, which strikes me as a pretty good deal. I'm thinking about picking it up myself, since I had a good time playing it at the store (not to mention reading stuff in this thread). Just thought I'd pass that on for anybody interested.

what's the deal with this game not advancing the chapter after going through mysterio's funhouse? I went to Jameson after it was over, the game hasn't progressed storytelling wise since. If this is a bug, is there anyway to fix it without starting the game all over?

104/150 Skyscraper tokens. These are the most fun to collect because you get to do a swandive after collection. There had better be a huge reward waiting for collecting all 150 tokens, like re-casting Mary Jane with a less annoying actress, or something like that.

it's a meee, mario......

I'm still pissed the game killed itself after the mysterio showdown. gamefaqs said something, or maybe it wasn't gamefaqs (some site pulled up from yahoo) about doing a reset in the game.....how the fuck do you reset the game.
