The street missions do get repetitive over time, but you use them to earn hero points, which you then trade in for additional moves - both swinging, combat and flat-out showboating moves for when you're in freefall. The evolution of your web and fighting abilities is more than just window dressing and really does crank up the way you play the game. Also, once you get past the basics, the "tutorial" is actually scattered all over the city in the form of dozens of hint icons so there's always some new trick or control method to learn (anyone done a loop-the-loop yet?). Add in 40 tongue-in-cheek titles to earn, plus all those races, all the skyscraper tokens, all the secrets. Oh yeah, and a storyline that seems to follow the basics of the movie but also blends classic Spidey characters like Black Cat and Mysterio into the movie world.
The initial rush may wear off, but the entertainment and value for money hardly plummet as a result.
