Problems using a vga box

Thread Starter
I recently picked up a vga box from Pelican. When I hook it up, and turn on comp., all of the colors are completely dull looking. It looks fine when the xbox is running on the monitor, but when using the comp, everything appears to have no color to it.

Could it be the crappy adapter cable that came with it to attach from comp to vga box?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried adjusting the contrast and everything on the monitor, but no real difference. When I plug the cable from monitor back into comp, all is well......

I really don't want to have to switch around cables everytime I want to hook the xbox up to comp monitor....

From the sound of it, it's the crappy cable.

I've been looking for a VGA adaptor for the current generation's consoles for when someone else wants to use the nice TV and I want to play a game in progressive scan. Where'd you find it and how much was it?
