Mortal Kombat Deception (mk6)

I was a little surprised to not see a topic on this, so here it is.

While MKeadly Alliance seemed to be taking a right step, it felt they forgot to add the layer of MKness that was neeed. Now we're getting stage fatals on every stage, at least 2 fatals for each character, and the whole thing is online! Yeah the arcade feeling is back, as this game is one of 3 I'm interested for the whole year (Halo 2-no description needed, this game-description is this post, TMNT2-which has all the arcade games unlockable and 4 player mode).

Gamespot, IGN, and MortalKombatOnline.com have been getting some stuff on it, as I am too lazy to grab pictures or post links to videos.

I'm really excited about this. I loved what they did with Deadly Alliance. The gameplay was just straightup fun and easy to play but also has a lot of depth to master. I'm normally not the fighter person type. Most of the games have little to no personality and they just to tricky to get everything down. If I want to dedicate a full month straight to mastering Virtual Fighter 4, I could, but there's no way I'm going to. I love fighting games that are easy to just pick up and play and also have over-the-top characters. In most fighting games, there's like 6 to 10 characters that are just normal people... and then there's either a bear, a ninja, or a robot stuck in there. I always go for the bear, ninja, robot character. What I love about Mortal Kombat is non of the characters bore me. They're all weird, cool looking characters with cool moves. That and being able to change your style is damn cool. I just hope they add more fatalities to this that don't blow chuncks like Deadly Alliance had.

I love that they're even adding chess to this game. Freakin' CHESS in a MK game. That's class, son.

I wish they brought Kabal back instead of freaking Nightwolf.

I loved him in 3...

Deadly Alliance is a very fun game, indeed. I think because they gave the fighting system a much needed upgrade. Not the usual "uppercut, freeze move, get over here" stuff.

I've seen some pics of MK6 - it looks great.

Deadly Alliance fucking sucked, but Deception does pretty good. I wish the series wasnt so combo-reliant now, though.

Also, the fatalities need to stop being boring. They havent been good since the series went 3D, which is bizzare because the possibilities have really opened up.

Don't they have MK Chess in this?

Believe it or not but I might be a tad bit more excited for that then the actual game.
