RAMMSTEIN to do song about German Internet Sex Cannibal!!!

There will be a song about Armin Meiwes and his cannibalistic antics which were extensively covered in the media (and here) last year on RAMMSTEIN's new album which is due out on September 20th. The songwriter was so impressed by the story that he just had to write a song about it. Or so he recently said in an interview.

Maybe they'll use it on the soundtrack for xXx2?

Rammstein are amazing. I still think Mutter is one of the best albums by any band ever. That just goes to show how much I know about music.. HA! Kind of OT

It already sounds like it comes right out of a Rammstein song. Just read the lyrics for Eifersucht, you'll see what I mean...

To me Mutter's only second best. Herzeleid was amazing.
Like The Cramps, they're in my all-time top 5.

MUTTER didn't completely convince me as well. There were some awesome songs on it but also some downright bad ones. I mean, ZWITTER was so bad I hope it was an attempt at self-parody.

The new album, which will be titled REISE REISE (JOURNEY JOURNEY) is supposedly a concept album about the theme of love. Yikes! I guess that's where Herr Meiwes figures into it.

BTW, do they include translated lyrics with the US editions of the CDs? Some of them are really rather messed up ...

Their latest dvd of videos has been in pretty much constant rotationin my dvd player...

Ich Will is prob one the best videos I have ever seen...

They continue to impress the shit out of me album after album...

Looking forward to the new one

The single with the cannibal song just come out in Germany! The song is called MEIN TEIL (PART OF ME) and is really quite fucked up. I'm impressed they chose such a controversial song for their first single. If they don't use this for that recently announced TCM prequel flick they're just plain stupid. It'd be just perfect! But they better put it over the credits and not in the flick or it'll screw their whole 70ies thing.

Here's a sample translated into English by yours truly:

Today I meet with a man
He likes me so much he could devour me alive
Tender parts and tough ones too
Are on the menu

For you are what you eat
And you know what it is
It is part of me ...

The blunt blade good and quite
I bleed and I feel sick
Have to fight against fainting
I eat on under cramps
It's sooo good!

Oh, and as far as the song itself is concerned it is exactly what we have come to expect from Rammstein and won't disappoint. Looking forward to the full album this September ...

I used to like Rammstein but I quit because prolonged listening of Rammstein songs made me want to kill Jews. Till has such an angry German voice.

And which Rammstein album is this from? It's not on HERZELEID, SEHNSUCHT or MUTTER. It also isn't on any of their singles. It's not a Rammstein song.

There are a bunch of fascist metal bands who release their songs illegally on bootleg CDs and on the internet but Rammstein isn't one of them. They wouldn't be able to afford something like this, lyrics like that would put them in jail in Germany because of the post-45 laws against nazism and antisemitism. If your claims were true they would not be able to perform anywhere without the police crashing the concert and arresting band and fans left and right.

You probably downloaded this thing off the internet and it was called "Rammstein - Zerstörung" by some moron who thinks every metal band with German lyrics = Rammstein.
