It always amazes me when they take an US movie and then change the original title to another English title. What's up with that? I mean, obviously DEMON DETECTIVE gives you a better idea than CONSTANTINE, which could be anything, a drama, a comedy, a period piece. But why for fuck's sake can't they just give it a German title if they really have to change it? DER DÄMONENDETEKTIV surely doesn't sound any cheesier than DEMON DETECTIVE. Dunno, they're probably just trying to be hip and down with da kidz. Sigh.
Of course they wouldn't have this kind of problem at all if they had just stuck with the original HELLBLAZER title.
And hey, maybe they will change the title to DEMON DETECTIVE for the US and everywhere else as well. I'd love to see the reactions to that!
Anyway, this has to be the most retarded title change I've seen since they changed HELLBOY to SUPER SAPIENS in Malaysia.
