So I just watched it and that's one fucked up thing to do! It's even worse than the lawyer scene in Se7en

The only problem I have with this film so far is that it looks like the sequel to SE7EN.

Interesting, cause this is the first serial killer hrror/thriller since Seven Ive found myself really interested in.

Hey, he was great in that cameo in the Maverick movie!

In terms of their performance, most people have the biggest issue with Elwes', though I guess I was just too interested in what was going on to notice if he did a bad job. Some say Glover is one-note as well, but it's really about the setting and the situation. Do not fear, I have a feeling a lot of people are going to dig it.

Or it'll become another victim of hype...

So Dah-veed, did you watch it? I'm curious as to what you think. I loved the movie, and as much as I am adding to that hype machine (which I hate) by saying I think a lot of people are gonna like it, but I do think that, because it's a fuckin mindbender. But I'm sure many people will hate it too because it's one of those movies that people will just want to hate and pick apart and break down into faults. Who gives a shit if it's plays on the atmosphere and look of SE7EN, it's its own movie to be sure.

As rogueboy pointed out in another thread, we watched this with a group of movie "critics" and jaws pretty much dropped all around which was pretty cool.

And Johnny makes a good point about the performances as well, I don't think they were awe inspiring but they got the job done.

Elwes was fine, Glover's character is really very paper thin anyway so not much to really expect there, he drives the plot, everyone does, if anyone should be bummed by performances it should be Elwes and Bell you should be bitching about or praising, and I thought they did well in their roles.

This is a money shot movie and that's what is going to propel into a hype monster of a movie, but hopefully people will see it on their own terms and not be ultra disappointed.

All I gotta say, if it's anything like Se7en and how people say it looks like/feels like Se7ven, that's a good thing. This will be one of the few movies I'll see at the theater this year too.

I think if you're going to make the comparison, the film is like Se7en but from the point of view of the victims, not the cops.
